I don't think I'd be able to wait until Christmas. But that is sooner than I thought. I figured it would be 2012 before the price went down.

I think it's less of a price drop in Christmas and more good bundles. Yeah, that was it. She said you could get some good game bundles with it in Christmas.

I don't see what the big rush is to get it, personally. But then, there's nothing I want for it yet.

Yeah, bundles are always good. I don't know if I could wait, either. Once some of these awesome games start coming out, it'll be tough. It's easy now cuz I don't really want any of the games out now. I'm hoping to have an internship that pays me in the summer, if so, I could get it then. We'll see....

I'll probably get one around my birthday to be honest. All the good games come out in the summer, and if you can use the anolog stick with old DS games, then that'd be sweet, because I keep using my DS lite just to not have to awkwardly click to move diagonally with my DSi. Also the control pad on my DSi makes me, I dunno. Worried that I maybe broke it a bit :/ Makes an odd noise if you move it around with you're finger.

Oh and my DS lite is oddly the first DS to show any sort of damage (besides the thing I mentioned of the DSi) with a small crack on the hinge. Noticed it yesterday.

I think I'll get it at Christmas.... Too much moneys for me, so if I save and have my parents help me out, instead of only owning a console with no games, I'll have a console and some games. D'X 3DS has region lock, yeah?
My friends getting it in October, since her birthdays then. She's going to rub it in my face. She done so with her Pokemon White (And then later got upset with the game and offered to give it to me for a bit but I said no DX). ;--; Nooooo~

I know I have to get Ocarina of Time right away. Which is why I'm planning on buying it this Summer (the release date for it in in July or something like that)

I know there are some other games I want that are supposed to come out by this Summer but I can't remember which ones (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) .

But I guess I'll just see who things are at that point. For now that's the plan.

Prices where great for what the price is in Australia before launch. The comeption pushed it down to under $300 with a game which was a good deal.

I doubt the 3DS will get cheaper for a very long time. Look out for sales I guess.

I'll get OoT right away as well. My 3DS is "collecting dust", havn't played it since around launch- really nothing around to keep me interested in it until Zelda.

Well actually turns out my dad got my brother and I a 3DS to share for Easter, but my brother said it can mainly be mine since I'll use it more and like Nintendo much more. So after 2 days I think I'll write my first looks.

System itself: Really well made, and the control circle works amazingly. Can even use it with older games like I had hoped. The featured software with the 3DS is really nice too, and they actually use the camera for games quite well. The Mii Channel is pretty fun too with the QR codes and stuff too. Oh and the game Face Raiders that came pre installed is also pretty nice to mess with too. Really liked how they made the system. They also have plenty of things that involve walking with the 3DS on sleep mode to rack up walking points for play coins (useable in games that are on the 3DS like AR games) and many things to get Miis/perks to walking by people who have their 3DS in their pocket and on sleep mode. Afraid I can't try that out too well though, the passing thing anyways. Oh and not to mention you're wifi page, but since I don't have anyones friend code or anything yet, that'll have to wait to be judged.

AR Cards: Love em. I messed with them a ton, and they really make the area where you are playing with them come to life. They add depth and everything, and the only real problem with it is remembering to stay a certain distance from the card, and well remembering that the 3DS needs to see the card for it to react (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

3D Effect is also handled well. It was tricky at first to find a solid way to do it, but a well lit room and the right angle is all you need. And like Tyler said, they aren't just popping effecta, they added depth to the games. Felt like I was just playing through a window and could almost poke my head in and look around, it's really well done.

Only downside as mentioned before is the battery life. It's bad compared to other Nintendo hand helds, but there's alot more there. Plus you can turn off wireless with a switch on the side, and turn on a power saving option to somewhat help. Battery life still wasn't quite good, but it helped a bit. But that's only the real problem that the system has, unless you count the limited library as of now, but come summer time, there should be a ton more games out, including some titles I have my eyes on.

Right now I only have Rayman 3DS, and Street Fighter, and Raymans alright, and I haven't gotten too far into Street Fighter to properly judge it. Also I don't think it's been mentioned, but the 3DS comes with a 2GB SD card for you to use, so that's nice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Oh and I forgot to mention, but another thing that slightly bugs me is that not all features are added yet, so we have to wait for updates to get them like the web browser, and shop channel. Not sure when those updates come out though... And one last thing for people who own the 3DS, I believe I saw something about a third party battery? Does it keep ot's charge longer, or simply something to put in after the first dies?

Sounds good, HMR. I forgot about the SD card. I mean, the 3DS does look really cool. The only bad things is the lack of great games right now and the battery life.

Been a while since a post has been in here, but if you do happen to have a 3DS, there will be a new update coming out June 6th during the evening Pacific Time that will bring the new E-shop in, along with the 3DS web browser. Along with this update you can also get Excite Bike from the E-shop for free from the release of the update to July 7th I believe.
