Super Smash Brothers Universe Options

My God, I don't wanna be that guy, but I really wouldn't want KH or FF players in SSB (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) there's so many characters that everyone wouldn't be happy. It's like adding Sonic to Brawl, everyone wanted Tails, and Knuckles, and Shadow, so just where does it end ya know?

The main third party guy I want is Megaman (preferably classic), assuming Sonic and Snake return. Other than that I don't care

Geno was very popular during the hype for the last game so he's one to keep your eye on.

Final Fantasy has its own fighting game. It doesn't need Super Smash Bros. That said, if anything from Final Fantasy were to make an appearance, I'd want it to be a Moogle or Chocobo. The "human" cast of Final Fantasy (collectively, that is) is just too large and non-iconic. I'm also of the firm belief that characters who didn't make their original appearance (or at least, the majority of their appearances) on a Nintendo console shouldn't be in the game. Sonic being added to the lineup last time bothered me for that very reason. :/

Mega Man, Geno, and maybe Mallow seem pretty likely depending on Square. Really can't think of who else they could add except maybe re-adding Roy (not likely, I just like Roy better than Marth (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ) or making the assist trophies characters. A Moogle would be kinda cool to add as a character too. Oh and of anything they better bring back Mario's down B spin, and better not give Luigi a down B Vacuum move.

Cactuar, Moogle Black Mage, White Mage and Ninja all appear on Mario Sports Mix so it's likely one of them might make the cut. I wouldn't bet on Sephiroth or Cloud though

Which is fine, since they're about as relevant to Nintendo as my socks are. If Square shows up, smart money's definitely on Geno.

If Sephiroth or Cloud were to make an appearance, I would throw a serious ragefit. They don't belong in this series and they never will.

Cactuar might be kind of cool as an item, though I think Chocobo would do better in that respect. They could have a Gyshal Greens item that would call a chocobo to you when you picked it up, after which you could mount it and do some cool attacks or fly or something.

I know Geno was heavily wanted even around when Brawl was being developed. I think it would be a safe bet that if Square is involved, they would add Gino. I completely agree with Mizuki when she says that Cloud or Sephiroth don't belong. I don't even think they would blend in well with the whole Nintendo enviornment...

Masked Man would be pretty cool. His arm blaster, sword, and PSI would probably make a pretty varied moveset.

I really hope that they add Crystal this time around. Also, I would really like the Animal Crosser, totally epic character right there. :)

So IGN released an article about the early thoughts of what Smash is going to become. It was an interview with I believe Iwata. He mentioned how Smash on the 3DS would be more of a personal gameplay thing because you can't have 4 people playing on one 3DS. He described that the idea of experience may come into the picture, and then you can upgrade your game's assortment of characters. Then when you are playing with a bunch of friends of the Wii U, you could transfer over your fully upgraded character and play against your friends.

Sounds like and interesting conecpt.

That is almost what this sounded like, in a way. You have a simple basic character like Mario, and dthen you can upgrade him to "make him your own".

I'm talking more along the lines of Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
