At this point Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura would be considered "older". But Code Geass is still relatively new, unless your definition of "older" is about three years.

Now, things like Gigantor, Astro Boy, and Lupin III would definitely be considered "older", though those are just the classics.

Anyway, make sure you have room on your computer and the ability to torrent files before you try anything. Since you use macs, I'm not certain if everything is compatible for you.

Yeah, you're right, it's not really old....Hmm, I know somebody that was looking to watch the complete series of Sailor Moon but was having difficulty finding a place that has it. She can't even find the complete series to buy.

They have it all, and are constantly working to get better releases.

And, if she wants music from the series, there's sailormusic.net.

Sailor Moon may be out of print in pretty much every country, but it's so loved by people that it's one of the easiest series to get a hold of for free. (If you want to pay for it though... that's another thing entirely. I've seen Sailor Moon DVD box sets - single season box sets - go for over $100 a piece.)

I'm pretty sure animeseason and anime-sub both have Sailor Moon, too. YouTube probably has it as well. SM is one of the easiest to find animes.

Plus, if your friend likes that there are lots of similar animes she might like as well. The classic Magical Girl genre. Tokyo Mew Mew, Shugo Chara, Cardcaptor Sakura . . .

But if your going to watch Sailor Moon for the love of all that is holy don't watch the dub. An episode of it came on the stream of this Toonami aftermath site that I go to and my ears still ring from the audible sin that is Sailor Moon dub. How in the world did I watch that when I was younger?

It depends on which dub you're referring to. The DiC dub is actually pretty good, despite the name changes and the editing... Quite frankly, the Japanese dub isn't spectacular either. Usagi's voice is really annoying, and a good portion of the voice actors never really went on to do anything else. (With notable exceptions being Toru Furuya, who was prolific even before he played Mamoru, Kotono Mitsuishi, Kae Araki, and Megumi Ogata.) That said, if you're stepping into Sailor Moon for the first time (or if it's been so long that you don't even remember the English dub), I'd definitely recommend watching the Japanese version. There was quite a bit lost content-wise (due to editing for a much younger target audience) in the localization process, so if you want the best experience with it, you'll want to watch the original. However, if you're watching it for nostalgia, then you'd probably be better off hunting down the dub, seeing as nobody in the US had the ability to watch it in Japanese until the dual audio DVDs came out for Super and Super S, and Classic and R weren't available in Japanese on the US market until much, much, MUCH later, if at all.

I use a streaming site called watchanimeon.com. They have multiple video mirrors linked from other sites. And they get new episodes fast, just depends on if there's the subbed episodes are out yet.
