Yeah, I pretty much agree with everyone else. If you feel that you NEED to have that last laugh, then that's your decision, but I would just try to let it go. And again, you're definitely not the terrible friend here, it's definitely her. She just sounds like a total #####..Not worth your time at all.

Chicken said it the best.

I had very similar friends like this who I never stood up to til it got too late and to the point of it being so bad that there really was no fixing it, if you don't give her the attention she's getting from treating people like this hopefully one day she'll realize how she was treating people, and hopefully will come around and get over that.

Cause honestly, who, especially at that age wants to admit they have issues? Especially ones that makes them mean to other people.

The best thing to do is just forget about her. Not rying to restate what evrybody else said, but It's clear that you guys don't have a good relationship. Think about it, even if she stopped lashing out, would you two become friends again? Probably not. This is highschool. There are TONS of people you can meet, even if you are shy like me. I myself dropped a lot of hurtful relationships this year, and I find that it's easier to relax, and you have more fun with peope who don't drown you in their drama ###$$$$. Just drop her, don't talk to her, don't provoke her. Be polite if you do need to talk, or get paired up or something, don't you start lashing out, or making sarcastic comments, because that will only make it worse.
Good luck, and hope you find some new, better friends :)
