As I turned on my old Pokemon FireRed game from a few years ago, I found these gay nicknames. I changed them back to their original names, but with only a capital at the start so it isn't screaming at me. That's all I do. *Doesn't like nicknaming them*

So, I reset my games a while ago, and I've been meaning to share all my new nicknames. I've got a ton, so I'm just gonna do it in small bursts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) I'll start with my nicknames from FireRed and LeafGreen. By the by, should anybody want me to explain a name in detail, please do ask! I use a lot of references and stuff and I love to talk about nicknames in general. =3
From FireRed (as of the third badge): Pepper the Charmeleon, Clip the Raticate, Peregrine the Pidgeotto, Jujistu the Mankey, Blackout the Pikachu, Scorpion the Nidoking, Jellybean the Jigglypuff, Pyrite the Geodude, Spectacle the Ekans, Aconite the Gloom, Pendragon the Alakazam, and Panthera the Meowth. From LeafGreen (as of the third badge): Kudzu the Ivysaur, Zipper the Raticate, Talon the Fearow, T-Storm the Pikachu, Rosethorn the Nidoqueen, Sugarcane the Clefairy, Acacia the Sandslash, Cupid the Weepinbell, Felidae the Meowth, Nightmare the Drowzee, and Shrewmouse the Diglett. My favorite names are in bold. <3 |

Yeah, so I mentioned this in the other thread, but this time around I've decided to name all of my pokemon after Gundam characters. Of course, it's not just random either. I deliberately name a pokemon after a character that either suits them or has way too many references to pass up.
So, here's a list of the names I've used so far. The series the original character appeared in are listed in parentheses: Amuro the Victini (MSG, ZG, CC) Lalah the Munna (MSG) Frau Bow the Herdier (MSG, ZG) Hayato the Tympole (MSG, ZG, CC) Kai the Scraggy (MSG, ZG) Kamille the Dewott (ZG, ZZG) Paptimus the Liepard (ZG) Jerid the Timburr (ZG) Beltorchika the Venipede (ZG) - due to character limit, is spelled Beltochika instead. Haman the Sigilyph (ZG, ZZG) Sarah the Yamask (ZG) Beecha the Trubbish (ZZG) Chan Agi the Pidove (CC) Shakti the Sandile (VG) Domon the Throh (G Gundam) MasterAsia the Darumaka (G Gundam) Duo the Blitzle (GW) Lucrezia the Dwebble (GW) Loran the Sewaddle (Turn A) Sochie the Swoobat (Turn A) Dianna the Petilil (Turn A) Kira the Solosis (GS) Cagalli the Emolga (GS) Miriallia the Patrat (GS) Yzak the Pansear (GS) Marina the Maractus (G00) Liu Mei the Roggenrola (G00) Feldt the Minccino (G00) Setsuna the Audino (G00) What's especially fun about this is that it becomes more of a search for the pokemon who will become that character rather than just scraping my brain for a nickname that I haven't used a thousand times. Like, Char is reserved for a Zorua/Zoruark should I ever get one, and Emma is reserved for a female Empoleon. There are so many characters across all of the Gundam metaseries chances are I won't run out of names for a long time to come. :D |

I usually make up names on the spot, but occassionally I plan names. I usually name my scythers "Sepia" (I forgot the Goddess' name in AP was "Sephia", but I liked the name and kept catching female scythers)
As for my new pokemon from white: (I tried to nickname quite a few with varying success) Dewott: Gakupo (I swear only my brother gets the reference (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) ) (Shiny!!!) Joltik: N (I'm a N fan and it kinda looks like a blond N, cute and fuzzy.) Lilipup (now a Herdier): Lili Pansear: Smokin' (suprisingly thought up by a relative) Pansage: Hangin' (I want a Panpour that I'll name "Chillin'") Munna: Feliks (It's male, I adore Hetalia, and there's no "x" in the Polish alphabet) Tranquill: Franklin (It reminds me of a certain turkey) Blitzle: Thor Woobat: Qwerty (look at your keyboard) Audino: Kokone Tympole: Timcampy Throh: Nick Leavanny: Leif (Erikson) Petilil: Yuna ("hibiscus") Sandile: Sandy (lack of inspiration) Darumaka: Dharma (like that old show) Tirtouga: Minoru (reference to a character whose voice actor also was Donatello from Ninja Turtles) Minccino: Mocha Vanillite: Vanille Deerling: Shiki ("four seasons") That's all I got for now. I'm on my way to the 6th gym. See you soon! Edit: Thor is a Zebstrika now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) |

I do too, actually. You can catch them outside of Cold Storage in Driftveil City. Otherwise you have to wait until "Winter" in-game for one.
So yeah, my Vanillite's name is Elpeo Puru. She's from ZZ Gundam. :D I also have a Ducklett, but I can't remember what I named it... |

Wow you're pretty lucky Noviwan! Female starters are pretty rare! (Without intentionally trying for one, of course)
Yeah, I'm pretty far since I have a ton of free time. I just caught a Litwick and named him Will O. My brother's upset since I'm farther than him, athough he is catching up fast. He also likes Joltik and he's pretty peeved that I got a shiny first. He also has some cool nicknames, but they're mostly "Let's Play" references. He did name his Snivy "Excalipoor". He plans to rename it "Excalibur" at lvl 100. I'll update with nicknames soon after at least 5 more of them! |

Back again! I guess I'll do my names from Ruby and Sapphire today. =3 I think these are the first games where I used some abbreviations and shortcuts. Oh, as a side not, I changed Hurricane the Drifloon to Downburst the Drifloon. Much happier with that. Anyway . . .
Ruby (as of the third badge): Riptide the Marshtomp, Foxtrot the Kirlia, Fenrir the Mightyena, Kestrel the Swellow, Fantasia the Breloom, M-Therium the Vigoroth, Chatter the Ninjask, Mischief the Skitty, Snapdragon the Mawile, Titan the Aron, Anubis the Electrike, Glutton the Gulpin, and LiteBrite the Volbeat. Sapphire (as of the third badge): Evergreen the Grovyle, Pinecone the Linoone, Showers the Masquerain, Schooner the Pelipper, Stereo the Loudred, Catmint the Skitty, Cushion the Hariyama, Echo the Golbat, Sterling the Aron, Quartz the Sableye, Chipper the Plusle, Gummy the Gulpin, ToxiThorns the Roselia, and Dazzle the Illumise. As per usual, my best work is in bold. Also, feel free to ask me what the heck I'm referencing with some of my names. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) |

I usually come up with a theme at the beginning of the game. Like in one all of my pokemon were named after Shakepeare characters, in one I have Harryh Potter characters and when I get B&W it will be Greek gods. Yup. Imma dork. And I love seeing everyone elses names!

Minverva is such an awesome name, Crystal. And Milkweed along with Xena were my favorites.
I never said what I named my Pokemon for Black. :O My cool Jellicent is named Shakespear. Yeah, there needs to be an "e" at the end, but it didn't fit. =/ Luckily, it still sounds the same. My faint-hearted Archeops is named Chrome. Taken from the word "chromatic." My aesthetic-changing Sawsbuck is named Na-Tsu. A reference to a favorite anime of mine and it also means "summer" in Japanese, I believe, which fits with Sawsbuck! My ice cream cone, Slick. :D My eel, with legs, Elektross, is named Gamma. A reference to that favorite anime series of mine, as well. And it fits since he's an electric type. And finally my awesome Emboar, Osiris. God of the afterlife! Also, Oscar...Osiris. |

I was going to post something interesting here about how a set of my pokemon were named after the knights of the round, but I strunk the site into a tab and everything and left. Only to come back to it auto refreshing with what I already had typed erased. So hong kong phooey.
