I was wondering where you were Twi.
I was thinking about something I read in a Q&A a while back... someone was asking how long it takes to marry a marriage candidate, the answer was a very long time. So what if you can't get married until the main plot is done, like they did in RF3? If it's not like that then you could get married as Azel, then switch to Sonia and get married while playing as her. This is just a thought I had. |

I'm glad things are going to take a long time to do. It's boring when beating the plot and getting married takes less than a year to do *cough*RF3*cough*.
I wonder if they will show what the children look like before the game comes out. I'm pretty sure they did that for RFF and or RF3. The game is just one month away from being released. I hope they show a few more scans. But they can't really have too much left to show. At least I hope they don't plan on giving too much away. Here is an extra from the blog, it says, "Earlier they had said you could play as both sexes during the game but they added so much stuff and the game became so long so now you can only play as the girl at the end. " I'm just going to be playing as Azel. Does that mean you have to choose only one character to play as permanently? Or does it mean you start as Azel and then you have to play as Sonia? |

It will be nice to have a long play through, I could beat the main story and get married in my first year of Frontier.
I want to see what the kids look like because the whole inherit hair color from their parents has me confused. Does it mean they just have blue or pink hair, or do they have the hair color from the marriage candidates? QUOTE Does that mean you have to choose only one character to play as permanently? Or does it mean you start as Azel and then you have to play as Sonia? I'm guessing you get to choose who you want to play the rest of the game as. |

Random but good idea:
One of the characters should die. Think about it. I don't recall any characters from the series ever dieing, so it would really be cool to have the player form an emotional bond with a character then all of a sudden he/she dies. Sure it would be sad, but it would really add a nice touch to the story, if pulled off correctly. I'm not suggesting one of the marriage candidates die (although that could be implemented quite well, if not controversially), but if one of the townsfolk that you gradually grow fond of dies from, say, protecting you or his/her family from a villain, that would make the story all that much more interesting. |

I have to admit that would make a really deep story if someone died. Spoiler: I can see Azel dieing if you choose to play as Sonia, or maybe he has to seal the bad guy away with his soul like Kyle did in RF2. And Sonia has to do the same if you choose to play as Azel. But I don't think it's going to happen, this is Rune Factory after all. Off topic: Way to go Steelers! |

That's what I originally though was going to happen with the Azel/Sonia thing. But since they are marriage candidates there is no way that is going happen. People would get so mad if a marriage candidate died (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .
A regular villager wouldn't be so bad though. Or maybe the villain could be killed at the end (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) . |

I forgot that Azel and Sonia could marry each other.
Can you imagine what would happen if a marriage candidate did die? It's a scary thought... QUOTE Or maybe the villain could be killed at the end. NOOO! The Masked man can't die (I'm pretty sure he is the main bad guy) it would be wrong. And he might be a special marriage candidate. I would be happy if Gray (the guru) died, he scares me anyway. |

I can image a never ending pit of flames from fans of said dead marriage candidate.
Oh no I just realized your right. Masked Man is the main villain! He/She is way to cool to die! That better not happen. Let the crazy DSC lady die instead >.<. |

Maybe there should be a way for the player to make a choice that could determine the outcome of a life or death situation. If they make a wrong choice then it's gg to one of the characters. Maybe that would make it a bit more personal.
heh, "This time it's personal!" ...sorry Off topic: Way to go Steelers! Heck yea! now they just have to beat Green Bay at the Superbowl (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) . |

He/She is way to cool to die! That better not happen. Let the crazy DSC lady die instead >.<. It's not going to happen since the only main bad guys that die are the dragons, right? Bonaparte de Saint-Coquille is the worst RF character to date! So, the villagers think Mikoto (the samurai chick) is a guy, and if you befriend her then you get to know her secrets. That sounds like it will be fun to do. QUOTE Heck yea! now they just have to beat Green Bay at the Superbowl. I think they can do it. |

Pittsburgh's goin for lucky number seven (in case you don't know already, they've won six Super bowls , the most of any team in the NFL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) )
European members of the forums must feel so alienated right now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . hmm, what to say... don't want this post to be completely off topic... Ooh, I know! Does anyone know if they've mentioned anything about utilizing an online feature? If so, I hope it's a bit more exciting than the ones for the DS games. Maybe something like weekly down-loadable quests. Speaking of quests, have they said anything about a quest system such as the ones from the DS games? |

No, I don't think they have said anything about a request system. That would be cool if there was one though. I also don't remember hearing about online features but I never pay attention to stuff like that so I could have just missed it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) .
I think they could include a death in RF sometimes but I really don't think it's going to be in RFO. I really want to know more about the magical wands you wave to make plants grow. I mean do different ones have different effects? Like do certain wands plant Spring crops and others are for Summer. The farming is always one of my favorite features so I want to know how it's going to work already. Because as of right now I don't like it >:(. QUOTE Pittsburgh's goin for lucky number seven (in case you don't know already, they've won six Super bowls , the most of any team in the NFL) I didn't know that, thanks for telling me. Yes there is a request board, it's located in the Sisters Inn at the desk I believe it was. I can't remember all the way though so I'll go look for the link. I don't think there is going to be any online stuff since they usually tell us about that stuff early on. I wish they would have put the feature for taking villagers out with you in the dungeons in Oceans. Edit: I found the link, it also has info on, Item Synthesis, Quest With Monsters, and Get Married and Have Babies. Link Here is a picture of the request board. They also tied Dallas for most visits to the Super Bowl in history.

Reading the blog posts, and I'm amused that someone asked the order of breast sizes for marriage candidates, and they actually got an answer... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

(Somehow I feel out of place for not following sports while posting in a topic about video games.) Lol, don't feel that way. We should though (mainly me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ). I like football, you like a flash series about a cat and a rabbit (yes I have seen it). Everyone's entitled to their tastes (not saying I don't like "There she is" btw (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) ) Also, thanks for the info everyone. I appreciate the answers to my probably "no duh" questions (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) QUOTE They also tied Dallas for most visits to the Super Bowl in history. Another great team, yo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) QUOTE Reading the blog posts, and I'm amused that someone asked the order of breast sizes for marriage candidates, and they actually got an answer... Lol, What the waffles? Are they just making that information up or... no... surely not.... There's no way there's actually canon info about this.... is there? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) EDIT: Pretty sure I typed W-T-F. Did the site change it to "What the waffles"? I've never said that in my life, let alone typed it. Well, until now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

Aww thanks, Dingo. I'm glad you've seen it. Not many people I talk to have (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) .
Sweet I'm glad the request board is back. For some reason I didn't like it nearly as much in RF3 as I did in RF2. The request just weren't as fun for some reason. I hope they are really fun in RFO. Man people and their crazy questions. And even crazier answers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . Yeah the filter is pretty funny. I forget what it was but before if you typed a certain word it came up as "tiger". |

I hate you rune factory oceans!
Everything was clear in my life. I was going to buy a 3DS, and then I was going buy some harvest moons, and then wait for Megaman Legeds 3 (The only megaman series that I like) After that I would have enough money to pay the import taxes of Akiko Shikata's cds (Akiko shikata is a singer that I worship) And then you appear, RFO. With awesome looking characters and graphics. And with Lili You know, there are some styles of girls that I like in games. Girls with red hair (It is ann's fault, she was so pretty in BTN (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) ), with Bard style and with long hair. Also, there is Akiko Shikata, as I said before, but she is real, not a game girl ... anyway Lili have a red long hair, and is a musician, also, she have a lute and she have a style similar to Shikata's style. In other words (IMG:style_emoticons/default/emot-iia.png) And now I don't know what to do. I really want buy RFO. For the first time in over ten years playing HM I said "Awesome" to a game. But I don't have the money to buy a 3DS and Shikata's cds and then a Wii/PS3 , and in my country all these things are very expensive. I'll have to drop one of those things And that is why I hate RFO, it brought doubt to my plan |

You could put off getting a 3DS 'til they get some more high quality titles for it. Right now most companies are just kinda experimenting with the 3DS capabilities. We might not see the full potential for a while.
If the 3DS follows the DS's example, it should be around for a while. I'm pretty sure that Oceans will be harder to find the longer you wait. I had to order RF3 online because no one within a 100 mile radius of me had it in stock, and that was release date. Though I live in the USA so I'm not sure if it's the same way in your country |
