Some game footage from the event. I think the only 3DS demo video thus far where the sound is audible. Features OoT, Resident Evil, Pilotwings, Street Fighter IV, Kid Icarus one of those alternate reality cards, virtual console of Super Mario Land and Link's Awakening, and some other stuff.

One thing I'm worried about is it's battery life. Seems pretty low compared to other Nintendo handhelds. Then again it has alot more so I guess it makes sense, but still :/

Australian money use to be worth less, it's been more for a long while now. At least that's what everyone else says. I've had the conversation with multiple people, but chances are I might still be wrong.

I wants all the Zelda and Mario and Kid Icarusness~ *Hugs laptop and cries*

Well, I just looked it up and the current exchange rate for AUD to USD is 1.01 AUD --> 1.00 USD.

So, 1.00 AUD is approximately 99 cents in American money. We're pretty much even, though USD are still worth just that tiny bit more. The fact that you're paying half the price of the entire SYSTEM for one game is absolutely outrageous. This may sound crazy, but you'd almost be better off importing games. They'd probably cost you less. :/

And Darth, that's awesome, though if they're porting OoT and Link's Awakening, they'd better be planning on releasing A Link to the Past. I no longer have an SNES and it really deserves an upgraded port that isn't from the gameboy era.

Wasn't the Wii $250 when that came out? The 3DS is the new thing; Nintendo's new main system. The technology and abilities of it are so enhanced, that the price just seems understandable.

I completely disagree. Also, this isn't Nintendo's new main console. This is their new handheld. Comparing it to the Wii doesn't work since this isn't a television console.

Think about it this way, if the original DS had started out with a pricetag of $250 back in 2004, would you have said that the price was understandable? That the amazing advent of a Gameboy with a touch-screen in-between the d-pad and the abxy buttons was such enhanced technology that it was WORTH $250?

I'd say $200 would be better, but still for a hand held would be kind of pricey.

I do kind of want to get it after a while, but I figure as soon as I buy one they'll release one with a better battery life, which would suck, so I guess I'll wait to see when the price drops for it...

Some guy said that Nintendo was being too "nice" with it's consumers. He said that Nintendo should have priced the 3DS even higher...

Already paid off. My Gamestop has games listed as $39.99, so it's decently priced.
I'll be getting Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, Pilot Wings, the two Resident Evil Games, Bomberman 3DS, Bust-A-Move, etc.

Games prices sound pretty fair then, I was estimating them at about 40 to 50 dollars.

Those are a lot of games, Tyler! I was still hoping for $30.00 games, but I guess not.

Is there a list of the games that are being released on the same day as the 3DS yet?

Actually, there will only be about three or so on launch, with some costing $50.00 (or maybe all).
There will be 30+ titles available by June is what Nintendo means.
