I think I remember who you're talking about. He had some claw thing, right? Yeah, ST was very different. I liked it a lot.

I was lame and didn't know what to do the first round, and now every time I pick it back up again I just never finish fighting him because I get lazy and go and do something else. D'X I should finish him off. There's still much more to do.....

Yes, Mr Claw hand. :3

I thought the claw guys name was Bryne or something like that, not Bruno. Unless that's different over the reigions.

I see...

so, basically it all boils down to the fact that TP (dang it! now I'm thinking of toilet paper (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif) ) didn't deviate itself enough from other entries. Variety is the spice of life Zelda.

Perhaps that's why the Wind Waker style Link is so well received, despite the people who call it lame because it's "unrealistic" (because it's realistic to be healed by a fairy or for Link to carry an arsenal of items in his pocket without being weighed down...). Link's wide-eyed rendition has always been (mainly) in titles that are much more unique.

I'm probably gonna get shot for saying this, but I really did NOT like WW that much. :\ Like I said earlier, I hated how huge the place was and hey, I'd be fine with it being huge if not for the fact that it was all a big expanse of never ending water. :| And that just got tedious after a while; especially since I had rotten luck at getting lost. -_- You could say that there's no difference between a tedious never ending ocean and never ending grass, except that I don't have to check my map every few seconds to make sure I'm headed in the right direction when I'm on land, the horse never annoys me that much, and the scenery at least changes regularly. Tons of people I know talk about how they loved it and it's their favorite, but I just stare at it and go, "...Rawr. *toss aside*" As far as graphics go...I'm one of the ones who doesn't like it very much. HOWEVER, I like that they use it for the hand held consoles. It works with that. I feel like the hand held should have that cartoon-like feel to it, and the big console should go for a more realistic feel. But hey, that's just me.

Happy Dingo: Yeah, that may be it. Just didn't provide something awesome enough. But who knows. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Zen: What? You don't like WW? Haha, it's okay. I understand what you're saying about having to check the map to see what direction you are going; I had to do that a couple of times and it did annoy me. But I still would like to see a return of that style in a console game....though we are kinda getting both worlds in SS! Realistic meets WW's colorful-style graphics. We'll see how that works....

*shoots Zen*

Nah, just kidding (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) , I completely get the traveling getting tedious thing. Unless you got a full sea chart (I never bothered) navigation could get tricky at times. Plus the begining when you couldn't warp was pretty boring just waiting to arrive to your next destination. Watching your progress on the Tingle Tuner was actually a bit depressing on how slow your boat moved across the sea (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Never the less I liked some of the sea travel. Discovering somme extras were cool, but sometimes where all it'd be was rupees was kinda lame :/ Still WW is one of my favorites.

I liked going to those submarines or those big, tall watch towers or whatever and beating up the people. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Using the ice arrows was fun, too. I really hope they bring back the ice/light/fire arrows in SS. But to actually use in the game and not just some light arrow appearing in the ending and having Zelda use it. >.>

I was wondering how you'd get lost if you didn't have a map, but I stock up on rupees and buy I bunch of fish bait from the beginning. I'm a bit of a completist, so collecting all the charts was something I just had to do. It's like a quest for me. X'q
Unfortunately, in the fourth or so replay I had a while ago I stopped playing before the Wind Temple because.... I, err, got lazy. Again. Also with replaying that time, the game felt short and I got sad.
Using the boat was cool, and the tornado you get after a while is refreshing, but as the train in Spirit Tracks, it does get pretty bland in my opinion after too long. But it isn't anything that stops me from playing the game.

I liked the ice/fire arrows in Ocarina. :3 Always takes a few times for me to get though. Quite a fewD':

Wait, Bryne or Byrne?
Bruno's making me think of green spandex.

I loved Wind Waker! I think it was because it was my first Zelda game that I was ever to own and play through on my own. I remember being so young and when I saw Ganondorf at the beginning I was like "OH MY GOSH GANONDORF IS THE WIND WAKER!"

I too am a completist, which is why Wind Waker always takes so freakin long for me to beat. Though I've never gotten all the Nintendo gallery trophies. That's lame, lame, lame, lame, lame, and lame.

"Go take pictures of everything in the game!"

"Well... ok..."

"Oh yeah, did we mention you can only carry 3 pictures at a time?"

"... F@#% that..."

I had A LOT of trophies in my first game. I only started playing after my brother won it (I think), then I used his second file and I went collective crazy. :'q But then my parents saved over my file thinking it was my brother's because it had more hearts.... All my stuff....

Not to mention it takes a whole friggin' day for him to make the trophies, and he only does one at a time. -____-;

People say TP is just a spin-off of OoT and has no variety in it. But my answer is:

What's wrong with more OoT? I mean, the graphics are great! And seeing Hyrule, Epona, Link, and Zelda in the new graphics was awesome. The story was fine to me, and I loved having Midna as a sidekick. It may be in the same location, but it's not like it was the exact same game or anything.

I didn't ever bother getting all the crazy statues in WW. Didn't you have to beat the game and then restart in order to get all the pictures? Because there were pictures you couldn't get in your first play though because you didn't have a Camera and you couldn't go back and take pictures of them later. I beat the actual plot of that game so many times though. It just never got old. MM and OoT were the same way. After I beat it I wanted to start a new file all over again <3.

I really need to start actually beating some Link games I started instead of replaying ones I've beaten a million times. In Minish Cap and both the DS games I got to the the final boss and then just started playing something else (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . I don't know why I didn't bother beating them.

Yeah, ya had to play through the game twice to get everything. I'm pretty sure that if you didn't snap a pic of the final boss during the first run it was a lost cause. never actually had the patience though. If it was more like something from the Metroid prime games, where you just scan an enemy, then it wouldn't be so bad. They just made the process so tedious =/

Yeah, I didn't bother with getting all the statues. But it was a really cool idea! Just implemented kind of poorly.

The game is nearly finished! Just some finishing touches left. It may be out early this Summer.

I'm really nervous about this Zelda game. I can't get the thought out of my head that it is going to be way too easy and short, like most Nintendo games lately. My excitement level for this one really isn't growing...

I'm getting the same feelings as you man. Kinda worried it may not be as good as I hoped.

Then again, I've had those same feelings before with other big hit Nintendo games only to find that I was worried for no reason. Nintendo hasn't ruined a Zelda game yet (though I've heard Zelda 2 is meh. Never played it myself). Some have had their quirks but they've never been "bad".

We'll see soon I guess
