Usually when I make decisions of who I like and dislike it always changes after I actually play the game. I am terrible at pre-made decisions (and guessing in general). But I am really liking Merupurin and Mikoto. All the guys (besides Bismarck) seem pretty cool. Masked Person is easily my favorite character so far. Even if he/she isn't a marriage candidate.

I just relied that Gray (The guru) has a scar right below his lift eye. Anyone else wondering why he and Odette have scars?

I get scared every time I see those spirit things, what if they are a game breaker like the Runeys were!

Maybe they both had a bad experience with a monster. That's my guess. Or they're just clumsy.

I'm not too worried about those spirit things. First of all, they're cuter than the runeys (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) . Second, it seems that the series tends to learn from its mistakes. Third, I didn't find the runeys to be as big of a deal as most people did. Sure, they're kind of annoying, but as long as you're not aiming for perfection they're whatever. I just made sure that every area had a decent amount of 'em and was able to grow crops in 2 days less time than the games default growing time.

Well the reason I'm so worried is because when I was watching the 20 second clips of the farming and fighting I saw what looked like huge stumps and other objects with the spirit things flying around them. And your character uses the harvester from Frontier!
This video has all the 20 second clips in it.

On a side note I didn't have a big deal about the runeys, in fact I found them very easy to keep balanced. But I didn't have fun keeping track of them when I would rather go level up my stats or I just didn't feel like spending most of my day taking care of them.

I think the harvester will probably be there to save time when harvesting monster items. I'm playing through RF2 at the moment (good game so far) and it has a different tool for harvesting wool, milk, and eggs, and while it doesn't take that much time to switch tools, it can get annoying. Hopefully if there is another role for the harvester to play, it will be something completely different.

Maybe those floating things are something like the stat bonus things from RF3. Just an idea.

Hopefully there will be some in-depth info about how you interact with the spirits soon. Then we can put all the torturous guessing to rest.

I'm hoping that the harvester is only used for harvesting monster items in Oceans. And it would be nice to get info on what the spirit things do, but I think this weeks update is going to be mostly about the three guest characters.
I haven't been able to play RF2 because my brother and sister are playing it a lot, and I'm so busy with other stuff right now.

Yeah they showed the Harvester in an earlier video too. I doubt it will be used for Runeys. Since they don't seem to anywhere in this game.

Why isn't the Purple spirit thing in that screen shot? He's the best of them all!

I hope they talk about the guest characters. I want to know who there are already. Give a screen shot of them. I don't need to see Sara or the sisters again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .

In the blog someone asked about what weapons are available at the beginning of the game and Hashimoto replayed that you pick what weapon you want at the first fight.

The elf maid looks like my sister when she messed up trimming her eyebrows (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . well, kinda. She has darker skin and glasses, of which my sister does not. And she doesn't have white hair either... So actually she's completely different except for that one detail

Any guesses as to who they guest characters may be?

Umm I can't read what the weapons are but at least there are a good amount of choices ^_^.

But they have so many in this game already I doubt any of these guest characters will be marriageable. Oh well they better be awesome anyways.

I love the new screen shots. Meripurin or whatever and Mikoto are definitely my favorite girls so far. My gosh Bismark even looks like Elliot in that portrait (IMG:style_emoticons/default/emot-gonk.gif) . Joe's portrait is kinda weird. But I think I like it more than the other one. The rest of the picture things look good.

Whatever the reason they don't like him, it's probably a stupid one. s'pretty much the reason for all character dislikes in the series ever.

I don't like when games have characters that are extremely similar to ones from other their games. I mean sure there are so many characters there are bound to be some similarities but come on. A guy with low self-esteem, has a much more outgoing sister, works hard, helps in a shop. They just seem too much alike. Bismarck is just normal and uninteresting so far. So I don't like him. Everyone else seems more interesting. He is just really plain :/.

I like Candy so that's good. I really didn't like what they did with Mei and Yue in RF3. But it was pretty cool to have them there anyways. I can't wait to hear who the other two are.

Five? I thought there were only four bachelors so far. Azel, James, Joe, and Bismarck. Who is the filth guy? Either way I really hope Masked Man ends up being really cool. Even if he/she isn't a marriage candidate I just want him/her to be an awesome character.

Maybe they both just end up living in the first house? No wait that would be weird if you got married to someone other than Azel/Sonia. Three is a crowd. Maybe they just end up building a new house for Sonia once the two are separated.

Anyway, if Candy is a guest character, do you think she'll be more grown up? I think they did that with a character before. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Cecilia a little girl in RF1 and grown up in RF2? I haven't yet gotten around to playing the first yet so my bad if I'm way off.

@Pumpkin Patch, No where has it said that Bismarck is a low self-esteem guy, it just says that he gets mad at Sarah for leaving him alone to run the shop. But even then I also have no interest in him... he looks that my little brother.
Sorry my bad, I met four guys. It will be five if the Masked Man is a guy, I'm thinking they are because someone on Ushi No Tane said that the voice actress voices guys a lot.
I new house would be cool.

@Happy_Dingo, Yes Cecilia is a little girl in RF1, and an adult in 2. In fact I'm marring her in my RF2 file. And Hashimoto has said in his blogs that Candy would be an adult, because Oceans takes place many years after Frontier.
It would be cool if the could only get a Fedora from the merchant.
