Quite relaxing and entertaining as well, unless a spectator expects too much from it.

Now that I have an awesome phone I downloaded an app for it that lets me read manga on the go, now I have something to do on my daily long bus rides.
Currently reading Hajime no Ippo manga because it's awesome and if the person sitting next to me peeks over it just looks like a good butt boxing comic and not embarrassing schoolgirl stuff |

OH MY GOODNESS I was just Introduced To
Panty Stocking with garter belt and that show is crazy nuts! Its kind of a mature title though with all of the curse words and censoring and adult situations though |

Noviwan asked if any likes Zombie Loan and I am here to answer yes! I've got a great story about how I got my first volume for free! It was laying in the attendence office at my school for about a month, so I asked one of the secretaries about it. They said that a parent left it for their kid for reading day and no one has claimed it for two months. Well, I asked if I could have it since it hadn't been claimed in so long (it probably wouldn't get donated to the library because of its rating and if it meant anything to the owner they would've picked it up already) and I got to have it. Lucky~
As for recommendations, I usually find series I like through anime magazines. Ones like Otaku USA usually have a chapter from two new (or redone) series. Unfortunately, the only monthly manga magazines we get is Shonen Jump. I used to be an avid reader of Shojo Beat and Yen+, but one isn't made anymore and the other is exclusively online. Okay, now for series I like! I don't think I've seen Bleach mentioned yet. I recommend the character books as well. Also the anime is pretty good, even the fillers aren't half bad! I also recommend Hetalia Axis Powers, Prince of Tennis (fanfictions and doujinshi are pretty good for this series), Kimi ni Todoke (From Me To You), Neon Genesis Evangelion (and its various spin-offs), and anything by Clamp (Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, Kobato. I don't recommend Tsubasa for the weak though. It's a bit of a mind screw later in the series. xXxholic is better though.) If you browse your local bookstore's section you're bound to find a great series or a good find. I found Neon Genesis Evangelion vol 12 recently at mine. You might have trouble finding volume one of some series though, since people will sometimes buy them to test out a series. Yeah, I'm pretty much an otaku. |

Mango. It's for android but if you have an iphone or something I'm sure there's an equivalent, there are a couple of similar programs but imo that one's the best Just saw this. Haha, I love the name. "Mango." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) But, uhh, yeah I don't have an Android phone and I can't seem to find a good one for Apple. What a shame.... |

Eh. Kuroshitsuji wasn't my cup of tea, so to speak. Sebastian was boring, Ciel was a brat, and the plot just didn't work for me. It also depends on which Kuroshitsuji anime you're talking about. The first season aired from 08-09 and the second aired last summer. I don't know how much of that has been dubbed in English, unfortunately.
I actually didn't watch any of the new anime airing over the winter season. None of the titles interested me with the exception of Gosick, which I had already read the manga for and gotten bored of because the writer just wasn't that good at putting together mysteries. I hear they're planning a second season of Ika Musume though, so hopefully that and something truly good will pop up next season. :/ |

Hahh. I loved the plot. Except the exotic prince arc. That was lame. (N)
+ The english dub is terrible, according to Co'coa. : O What didn't you like about the plot? |

I didn't really get that far into it, honestly... but the whole "bratty kid selling his soul to get revenge on people" wasn't executed as well as it could have been. Mostly what did the plot in for me, wasn't the actual plot/premise itself, but the characters. Sebastian was just so dull that it made every scene where he came in and kicked trumpet in that gentlemanly way with his "I am a demon of a butler/I am one helk of a butler/etc." line a snoozefest, and Ciel's aggravating brattiness just pissed me off. I wanted to punch him square in the face.
Though, I didn't really say that I didn't like the plot. Just that it didn't work for me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

Awww. Sucks that he seemed like a brat to you, Mizuki! D:
It was actually kind of like that for me at first, too. The main reason I was interested in it in the first place was because of the awesome art (I'm shallow :B). Their personalities were kinda just meh for me at first... I didn't really want to get any further into it than the first two episodes cause of that. Then again, aside from the personalities, I was also confused about what the heck was going on... X'D It felt really weird watching Kuro because rather than kinda... introducing everything, we're just immediately thrown into the story. The transitions between arcs are kinda sudden, too... In one episode they'd be fighting evil doll things and the next they'd be battling animal cruelty or whatever... And then they'd be eating curry... ROFL... O_____O All those things aside though, I found myself getting used to the characters and the plot some... five episodes in? Hahah. I dunno. Rather than thinking of Ciel like a bratty little kid, he actually became quite awesome to me. :B Oh, and, yeah... I really despise the English dub. It's amateurish at best, in my opinion... X'D All the voice actors actually use British accents, so it fit into the setting of the Victorian Era and stuff... But um, they're not as amazing at portraying emotion as the original Japanese voice actors... and the worst part is, Sebby sounds like a non-sexy, creepy 50-year-old, for lack of better description. Well, I guess it would make sense, considering the fact that he IS really old... But yeah... He doesn't sound as sexy as he should... HAHAH. And Ciel is played by a woman, like in the Japanese version... Except he ACTUALLY sounds like a girl. Which... is kinda epic fail. D'; |
