But I had her at Seven FP (IMG:style_emoticons/default/emot-gonk.gif) . I think that really is the "special" prize...
So who thinks the festivals are too easy? I have won all of them so far. The Wooly and Bean throwing were tough. But the crop and fishing ones are too easy to win. Sooo back to Yue and Mei. Spoiler:
Quote from a topic on Fogu -Mei is a human. She's also more than 100 years old. -Mei is in Kardia investigating something about the empire. (Or in words of the character list, "fighting against the empire alone".) -It seems she once had to follow someone's order, but is now acting on her will. Mei is a great warrior cursed with immortality, wandering the earth. So that means RF3 probably takes place at the same time as RF2. Since Yue is the same age and Mei is well immortal so it doesn't matter what time it is for her. |

I'm liking the game a lot so far. Unfortunately, I'm getting to the point where there is less and less to do. I've finished the main story and am working on getting the rest of the recipes. I've got 2 kids (a boy and a girl) and am on year 4.
I'm kinda disappointed in the child system. Once they're born they just stay in the house and nobody seems to even reference them. They only have a few lines of dialogue and you can't even give them gifts. They're not even on the freakin list of villagers. Maybe I haven't played far enough into it, but the child system is a real letdown to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif) . Oh well, at least I have the extra "dungeons" (If you can call them that) to finish, and, if I wanted I could start a second file Also, does anyone know if Evelyn and Gaius (hope I spelled those names right (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ) ever get married or something? I know about the quest with them after your marriage, but that seemed a bit uneventful. |

QUOTE So who thinks the festivals are too easy? I have won all of them so far. The Wooly and Bean throwing were tough. But the crop and fishing ones are too easy to win. I've only actually tried Wooly Festival. Choosing the right weapon is a factor here, but it's more advisable to make sure you have the skill at 20 or more. With an insane Guilty-Gear-ish combo practice gives you, even a short sword is deadly enough. About the timeline, another post on Fogu mentioned that developers actually confirmed RF3 is simultaneous to RF2. AFAIR, the previous guess was that it's inbetween two games (or, rather, between Frontier and RF2), and it must have partly stemmed from Yue's portrait IMHO - she does look younger somehow. Spoiler: But my, isn't it disturbing - TWO Elder Dragons acting up at roughly the same time... Even if Aquaticus does it for some fridge logic. (on the other hand, maybe he is meant to be defeated rather easily, as he simply wasn't serious - hey, all this bride-stealing plot might as well be a trial!) QUOTE They only have a few lines of dialogue and you can't even give them gifts. They're not even on the freakin list of villagers. Now that's a bummer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cowannoyed.gif) I'm sure the game's mechanics allowed to do otherwise. In a setting where everyone moves around, carries something and can join you for a walk, whatever could prevent Neverland from simply programming the children the same way and locking them for the time being? I really believed it would turn out this way... Another thing to expect of RF4 (it may be implemented in Oceans, but it's a home platform, meaning higher standards. I'm puzzled enough to know that dynamic schedules were introduced not on Wii in RFF, but on a friggin' 5th-Gen capacity handheld! Admit it, they just didn't think about it at the time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) ) QUOTE Also, does anyone know if Evelyn and Gaius (hope I spelled those names right ) ever get married or something? I know about the quest with them after your marriage, but that seemed a bit uneventful. As far as I heard, there are no marriages. Looks like a series policy so far - even RF2 had them purely for the sake of the plot (after Kyle gets married himself, they don't even invite him anymore!). Although this could always change. |

Sooo
RF1 came out first and happened first. Then RFF came out third but happened second. And RF2 which came out second happened third, and RF3 which came out fourth happened at the same time as the second game. That makes perfect sense. And RFO is no where to be found so far. Well I'm at the end of Summer and I'm going to win the Summer crop festival soon. My Pumpkin is unbeatable (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . So far I'm still working on the third dungeon. My human form is a lot better now. |

QUOTE My Pumpkin is unbeatable Sickles ftw, eh? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I wish they had this mechanic in RF1. I'm trying to grow level 10 strawberries now, and it's really time-consuming (and by the time I do it, I don't know what I'll do with all that money... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ). |

Yeah it certainly makes growing high quality crops easier. What else would I enter in the Summer Crop Festival (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) . I won now and there is only one day left in Summer. I have been wearing the swimsuit the entire time so it is going to be weird wearing the normal outfit again.

Of course. Even Hazel and Shino couldn't help but notice how great he looked. And don't get me started on Carlos (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .
Speaking of which on the last day of Summer I got every single girl to ten hearts. And everybody else to seven smiley faces or not. But I'm still not done with the third dungeon. And I have a lot of requests left to go. Also I have a question about requests. Spoiler:
I got the requests with Sakuya (Whom I still hate with a passion) and Collette (who is actually pretty cute) where they find out I'm a Wooly. Does that mean I'm done with their requests? Or are there still more left? |

Usually when they find out you are a wooly that's the end of their marriage-required requests. But they'll still send you other requests that don't have to do with marrying them. |

Okay thanks :3.
I saw a video of what he says in the Japanese version. I'm not sure if they changed it in the English one. But have you seen what happens when you give him a Love Potion? It is pretty funny (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . |

Apparently the American IGN recently did a review of RF3. Here it is if anyone is interested.
I agree with the review for the most part. Especially don't agree with the reviewer's suggestion of being able to slaughter your livestock for meat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) . But yeah, otherwise the review is almost exactly what I though of the game. Though I probably would have given it an 8.5. There's just something very addictive about the Rune Factory games (at least the 2 I've played so far). |

For anyone with Rune Factory 3 get the Star Pendant, which increases battle experience gained. I was level 80 when I beat the final booss and at the end of my first playthrough I was level 90 thanks to that without hours of grinding just short visits for daily stuff. I got it from Collette for one of her quests, then upgrade it to make it a good accessory.

Yea the star pendant is pretty sweet. I took full advantage of that while I was gettin through the main story. At least I think I did... it's been a few weeks since I last played so my memory is a bit fuzzy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) , but I'm pretty sure I used it. I'm like level 130 now so it's a safe assumption

Eight out of Ten isn't bad. I think it's a good score. I would have rated it slightly higher though.
I have made myself a Star Pendant although I've gotten more use out of the Heart Pendant so far. Since I'm spending so much time forging and such. I beat the third dungeon and now I'm working on the Winter one. I have a bunch of money and at least eight friendship points with everyone. That part of the game is so easy but the actual fighting is taking much longer. I guess the fighting is harder than making friends because I have the fighting mode set to hard (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . |

QUOTE Especially don't agree with the reviewer's suggestion of being able to slaughter your livestock for meat Videogame cruelty potential, eh? And I have yet to remember a dish in Rune Factory that INCLUDES MEAT. Fish is the most you get. And wait, they label the game as strategy??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) QUOTE You get bored of farming, you go slay monsters or develop your spell casting abilities. You get bored of that? Well, you just go make friends with someone in town or do some fishing. Which is probably long done by the time you get bored of farming and fighting. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) And all these reviewers complaining about the repetitive character of Rune Factory installments... They just sound like they have never heard of Harvest Moon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) QUOTE For anyone with Rune Factory 3 get the Star Pendant, which increases battle experience gained. By the way, are the pendant effects exclusive to RF3? after learning about them and then getting a workshop in RF1, I was very excited; but today I've finally made myself a Heart Pendant in RF1 - and it doesn't seem to influence skill raise at all. Maybe it was implemented in RF3 only? Also, a Rosary - I remember reading something similarly awesome about it in RF3, and then I go and make it in RF1 - and it looks completely useless (down to having 0 defence). And if all of that is the case of features added for the THIRD game, then I'd like to know if at least a HAPPY RING in RF1 does work like in RF3 (increasing item drop percentage). |

I'm wondering if Raven is part dwarf, because her ears are just like Gaius and Zaid's ears.

About Raven
Spoiler:
Raven is half-monster like Micah. But instead of turning into a Wooly she turns into this big bird phoenix thing. It doesn't ever mention her also being part dwarf so I doubt she is. Why doesn't Micah get pointed ears too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . |

This game is seriously addictive. I have like, 10 pages of Game Notes recorded in my journal. I don't really bother with the main storyline and fighting, to be honest, I just like the more harvest moon-y aspects of the game. I mean, I guess I could get into the fighting if I wanted to or if I had to, but it's not really my playing style for harvest moon and rune factory games. It get's a little repetitive this way, but not too much because I'll do the occasional battle request as well.
