This is a simple poll, a poll to see which Rune Factory game is liked the most. You can post the reason why as well if you wish. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif)

I like the first one the most. I only played the first one and frontier. I felt they could have done more with Wii version.

I like the first one the most. I only played the first one and frontier. I felt they could have done more with Wii version. I agree that the Wii vesion could have been better, for example, more of a longer storyline, and possilbly a 2nd generation to keep players happy, and busy, but nonetheless, a great game. |

Rune Factory 2 for sure. I just started a second file on RFF, but I still like RF2 better. That game was so much fun. The fact that they removed the help board in RFF made me sad. I can't wait for RF3 to come out! That game looks really good too.

I wish that RF3 could come out soon! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) And I also heard this rumour that it MAY have 3 generations, but of course, this could just be a rumour. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif)

I actually haven't played a Rune Factory game. Can someone tell me a little about them? I really love Rune Factories I've played all three that are out right now so I can tell you about them. *General Plot* Each Rune Factory starts out with a guy (there is no RF game where you can choose your gender at the beginning you always start as a guy) who has amnesia. He ends up in a new place that he's never been before. There the first person he meets is the first marriage candidate (in Rune Factory 1 and Frontier the main girl is Mist in Rune Factory 2 Mana is the main girl). The guy ends up running a run-down farm in the town he ended up in. The plots for each game are all different but basically there is always some kind of problem either with the town or with the main guy. The plot revolves around figuring out what is happening and eventually fixing it. After you beat the main plot you get to continue playing your file like normal. *General Game-Play* The Rune Factory game can easily be described as a RPG Harvest Moon. It has all the aspects of the friend and farm systems in Harvest Moon, but there is a fighting element. The way you farm is just like Harvest Moon. You also get to raise livestock (after you build a barn), but instead of buying animals you have to tame wild monsters. The tools you start out with are basic and you get to improve them. But instead of taking them to the blacksmith you have to forge better tools and weapons yourself. You also get to make cooking dishes, accessories, and potions. The more you level up a certain skill the better stuff you can make. There are dungeons (or caves) that you get to explore. Each one is full of monsters and has a boss fight at the end. You get to choose from many different types of weapons and use magic too. Then of course you get to befriend villagers and potential wives. All the girls have their own set of requirements to marry them. In RF1 and 2 each girl has a specific item you have to propose with. Once you're married your wife will mostly stay inside the farmhouse. You will eventually have a child and depending on the game that could be very important or basically pointless. Since the games do have a lot of differences it would be easier to tell you about one specific game. But at least you will let get the basic elements of the Rune Factory games. If you have any other questions or want to know about a certain RF game I'd be happy to answer (I really love talking about Rune Factory games (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ). |

I actually haven't played a Rune Factory game. Can someone tell me a little about them? You may have heard about Harvest Moon? If you have, it is like a subseries or climatic turn for the Harvest Moon series. It follows the same path as Harvest Moon with marriage, farming, gathering, fishing, etc., but has its own dungeon crawling (not literally crawling), and you can fight or befriend monsters. And in each dungeon there is a boss to be beaten to clear it (unless the 3rd like the last two, if you leave the dungeon or room, they reappear), and you can gather their monster trophies. Now about monster trophies, depending on the monster and dugeon, you can recieve different ones.Reminder: You do NOT get one for every monster you get. For each trophy, you can only get a certain perentage from the monster's defeat. For example, let's say you beat a woolly (monster that looks like a sheep) you may only get a 25% chance of getting a woolly fur ball (a monster trophy). And with these monster trophies, you can sell them, give them to others, or use them to make new items in the forge, lab, and accessories for you and others. |

I say RFF, because the graphics were great. Plus, I like the cutscenes they show in RFF.

Ugh, this going to be hard for me to choose. The reason is because I love all three RF games I own (RF1, RF2, & RF3). Guess I'll have to say the one I like the most is RF3.

the rune factory games seem to be improving as new games are released (which is to be expected of course), so my favorite is rune factory 3.

I've gotten pretty far into Rune Factory 3 and I must say RF2 is still my favorite. I love they brought the request board back. But you can only do one per day. And they didn't use the Wooly form nearly as much as I was hoping. There are also other little flaws, but I'm not going to go on and on.
I like most of the characters in RF3 more though. |

well I love em all
but to be honest I think Rune Factory & Harvest Moon games are morely suited as Handheld games I mean .. its more convenient since you can just pull it out and play but sadly. Rune Factory or Harvest Moon games on Nintendo handheld will lack in graphics and such compared to that if a wii hopefully someday... they release games on PSP for Rune Factory :3 |

QUOTE but sadly. Rune Factory or Harvest Moon games on Nintendo handheld will lack in graphics and such compared to that if a wii Well, it's likely that new handheld games starting with RF4 will appear on 3DS, and it seems to rival PSP in graphics. Me, I like them all, but RF3 is a plain breakthrough in the series. Also, the music and the characters here are my favourites, and it has a whole bunch of my favourite actors. So... RF4 sounds like it will be great. Just because it's another Rune Factory (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . I really hope they will keep making more Rune Factories. I'm sure it would be cool on the 3DS.
