So Rune Factory 3 came out today. I'm not sure how many people are going to be getting the game, but I decided there needs to be a topic for it anyways (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) . I pre-order my game so it won't be delivered for at least a few more days (I'm supposed to get it on the 15th lame -_-). I am really looking forward to a lot of the new features though.

Also as Hunter pointed out in a different topic there is an official English RF3 website (RF3 Website).

All bachelorettes' names confirmed, except Persia/Coral that was switched to the earlier (and much hated throughout the fandom) Pia option. I have yet to figure out the logic of it (unless it's blunt "P[ers]ia"). I mean, they rename Sia into Shara, but they rename Persia into Pia. What's with those people, really? The characters page doesn't seem to feature other villagers so far.

Tried to get it today, but the nearest store That I can find that has it is 60 miles away...

That's 120 miles (to and from) that I'm not going to drive.

will probably just order it online, but it's a huge bummer that I probably wont get it for 1-2 days.

I English opening is alright, cant really understand what she's singing! I've listened to the the Japanese version a bunch of times, I kind of like it better. I can't wait til it gets here.

Lol, I listened to it on youtube. I found it kinda funny. the gal isn't that great at speaking English XD

hafta give her props though. She can probably sing the intro better in English than I could in Japanese (Though I don't sing too well, so that's not saying much =P)

The intro sounds decent, the text is understandable and doesn't spoil the impression. Compared to RF2 songs which were downright weird and RF intro that was better as a song but I hear even native English speakers still have problems deciphering the full text... It's really good.
I can't wait to see the game! Talks have it that voice-acting is improved, indeed, and actually fits characters. Not that Natsume didn't manage it in some cases before (Dorothy's dub voice was an EPIC WIN - I fell for her the moment I heard it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ). But this game also had some well-known Japanese VAs. Raven was originally voiced by Emiri Katou aka Kagami Hiiragi, and Marian was voiced by one of my seiyuu faves, Ayumi Fujimura (aka Kyouka Midarezaki aka Azaka Kokutou). I'll be really demanding to their English counterparts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monster.png)


Oh, and I forgot to add: if Natsume dares cut JUST ONE darn SAMPLE from the dub, I'll definitely buy a ticket to the USA and hunt them down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_tam.gif) I hated how they just blocked some lines in RF2 which later refused to play even after undubbing.

Btw, my bride top-3 includes Raven, Marian and Sofia. Somehow I have never found myself going after the "official" girls, even though I found them cute. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Sadly, it's not quite the case. What I said was

AFAIK there's a dub actres as usual, although people who got the game said the voice is quite fitting. Although it could BE possible in theory that they hired the actress who dubbed Satou's roles in the past, but I have no info whatsoever on that subject.
Hiring original seiyuus to dub their roles in English is rather hard to achieve, even if they have good pronunciation. Actually I was surprised that Natsume managed to do this with the original singer of the intro song. And Kana Yasumi actually manages a clearer and more comprehensible text than both RF and RF2 openings. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

I am hopefully going to get it tomorrow. I already know what I'm going to name the main guy. I always name Rune Factory main characters after swordsmen from Super Smash Brothers Games.
Raguna is Link (of course)
Kyle is Roy (too bad there was a character in that game already named Roy. But I had already made up my mind so I didn't change it)
Aria was Sheik (not really a swordsman but the closest "girl" to it)
So Micah is Marth obviously (they're both so girly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) )
I guess this means I'll be naming Azel Ike. Or maybe Meta and Sonia can be Knight (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) .

I haven't seen the opening yet because I always wait til I have the game before I watch it. Curse me having a job. I wanted to spend all of tomorrow playing but I have to go to work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cowannoyed.gif) .

Well, the voice-overs sound REALLY decent. It might be the first Rune Factory which I probably won't end up undubbing. All the voices are matching, although I scratched my head about Colette, Carmen and Raven. But that's rather because I've just gotten used to their original voices. Especially Raven whose voice sounds unexpectedly mature. And it's a bit sad that Marian's dub actress couldn't QUITE preform the liveliness that Ayumi Fujimura's roles always have. Nonetheless, it's a good dub, imho.
It's sheer hilarity to indulge in dialogues. Rumours certainly didn't lie about Micah being a Deadpan Snarker [in training, at the very least]. Going sightseeing around Daria's house proved amusing, too. And when I tried to sleep on her bed, she wanted me to stay in that pose for three days while she sculpts me.
Sofia is as lovely as ever, and I've started paying more attention to Karina, whose laziness is so over the top that it looks unexplainably cute. I laughed a lot at her instructions about shipping:

Put the crops you grow in the shipping bin
(Lighter crops are better...)

We will come to get them at 5 o'clock in the evening

I think the way she talks is pretty funny. Daria gets pretty annoying though. Has anyone seen Pia in the rain? It is weird looking. Gaius (or however you spell his name) is so ridiculous. He is one of my favorites right now. But seriously nearly everyone in town is totally crazy.

I like it when Pia looks like that; it makes me want to marry her even more! But I'm busy wooing Carmen right now...which is pretty easy so far.

That is one of the few things I am disappointed about. I mean is ten hearts/smiley faces the max? Because I have been playing for two (in game) weeks and I already have three people to four hearts/smiley faces. And many others to three or two. It is Way too easy to make friends. At this rate they'll be at ten before the end of Summer.

The only other complaints I have are the dungeons seem like they might be a little small. And you can only do one request per day. That is lame -_-.

For me I'm not sure which girl I like the most, But I'm getting an idea of who I like the least. There is no way I'm going to marry Shara or Colette.
