No, you can't ever go to the city. I hope they come out with a Harvest Moon that let's you go to these places people talk about (IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif) . Well, in GBC3 you could technically go to the "mainland". That's where all of the shopping and stuff took place, and you could only go on certain days until you got one of the villagers to build you a boat. It had people that didn't live in your village, a large shopping mall, an aquarium, a farmer's union, and a movie theatre. So, it's not like they've never made a game that allows you to visit the city, but it's not common at all. There's usually no need for it as everything you need for the game itself is right there in town. |

Got the game today and have a question. How do I get the bug catching net and fishing rod? I imagine Felix gives you the rod and the kid in town gives you the net, or I just buy them from the bazaar?

You don't use a net or anything to catch bugs. Just press the B button at the right time. Felix will give you the fishing rod around the beginning of Summer.

No problem. Are you liking the game so far? I'm glad a lot of people are getting it, because I think it is one of the best DS Harvest Moons.

So far I'm enjoying it. Pretty enjoyable, but I have yet to make it to the first bazaar.

Oh so really just got started. Well I hope you enjoy the game Raccoon. The Bazaars are one of my favorite features. I just wish they were a little longer. It's hard to sell all the little things I foraged over the week.

Well, once you have the funds you can expand your Bazaar stall and it becomes easier. Actually, I found that once I had six spaces to sell items, that I'd finish well before the bazaar was over. (Granted, that's also because I have a good reputation and people buy more from me faster than they did at the beginning of the game.)

To pause the game, I usually just close the DS. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)
I got the basement plot from Wilbur, so I've got a field even during winter. So my plan is to keep the season light in the basement on Autumn, grow tea leaves and grapes and apples all year. |

Mizuki you're right I did upgrade my stall and I sell out really fast now. I just meant at the beginning of the game when I had a bunch of really cheap items I had to get ride of.
Tyler (kumquat) I didn't know there was a basement plot. I'm definitely going to get that at the next Bazaar. I'm not sure what I'm gonna plant though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) , but who cares. |

Once you get the two extra plots on your land, Wilbur will offer one more plot. You know the boarded up part of the house on the lower left? He'll make a basement for you. It's the size of the other fields...HOWEVER:
You cannot use fertilizer. There are three sources of light: Spring, Summer, and Autumn. You have to grow respective crops in the right season light, or they'll die. Since champagne and apple tea sell for tons of money, I think I'll plant three tea trees, an apple tree, a muscat tree and a grape tree. I'll keep a tea tree outside, for Spring and Summer tea leaves, and plan the remaining fruits and use the other two plots for veggies of the season. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) |

That sounds like a good plan. I'm still deciding what I'm gonna do. Since you can't fertilize I probably won't plant crops that take too long to grow. So I guess I'll plant some kind of tree. But I'm going to focus on just getting it added for right now. Thanks for the tips (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) .

I use the original DS {before the Lite} and mine works fine, maybe you just didn't treat yours as well as I treat mine lol.
Btw, have any of you decided who you're wanting to marry? The guys the females ahve to choose from are all kind of meh, I should've just made a male character since those choices are better. |

I'm going with Sherry I think.
I did my first bazaar today, and it's very enjoyable. Oh and did you know that if you jump on the barrel that has some sort of lighter looking thing on top that it springs you up? Just found that out today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

Haha, yeah, I figured out the barrel thing the first day while jumping around random places.
And you can jump in the river and although it makes you lose a bit of stamina each time you can sometimes pick up ores or so far I've gotten sea urchins that sell for about 400 each at the bazaar. |

I just wanted to say that when you upgrade your tools, you can water/till etc. more spaces if you jump. So, if you upgrade your watering can to level two, it looks like you can only water two spaces, but when you jump you can water three.

Hey Idlers, my DS is five or six years old and it is still in really good condition. I just don't want to make any of the small problems worse. I take good care of my DS (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif) .
About those barrels there is one that I'm not sure why it's there. In between Claude's house and Raul's store there is a barrel, if you jump on it it bounces you into Raul's back room. Is there any reason for it or is it just there for fun? |

Well, there's no real purpose for it, but it does allow you inside the shop on Fridays after Mucho's left with his brothers and after midnight, when he'll have gone to bed and closed up shop. I've been meaning to check out what happens if you visit his house way early in the morning like that.

That's kinda creepy that there's a barrel that let's you break into his house. I bounced into his house really early, but I've never tried late at night. Speaking of weird things I got a glitch where my character was levitating off the ground like he was in mid jump. It went back to normal when I left the area, but it was kinda funny.

Pumpkin, don't get defensive, mine is also 6 years old and it has no issues whatsoever, that's all I was saying. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif)
How long does it take for say, your watering can to go up a level? And how do you go about upgrading it? |
