I know it's amazing that they actually allowed that. Anyways you buy animals at the Bazaar. One of Raul's brothers sells them. It is in the upper left area of the bazaar. In my game he only sells two types of animals each bazaar. Either sheep and chicken or cows and chicken. I'm pretty sure he also sells cats and dogs (once you unlock them).

Juris is a sexy name. If anything, it could have been changed to Julius...although we have Julius on the two current console games.

Juris is an awesome name - if a little floofy. ;)
To Hikarii, Anemone actually isn't a strange name at all. It's a type of flower (hence why they changed it to a name that was also a flower) and is greek for 'wind-flower'. It was also the name of a nymph in Greek mythology who was turned into anemone. I much prefer it over Daisy which is plain and a little boring. Granted, I prefer the Japanese names all the way across the board, so take that as you will. But dude. Once I got back into the swing of Spring, I hit 70k and bumped my Bazaar up to 50%. Hot darn. 80-100k mark looks a little far off at this point, though. Also, Tea bushes are BOSS. They produce leaves every season except for winter and within a couple of days too. (Er. That's their growback time, I mean.) Within one week, with three bushes, I had 27 tea leaves. TEA ROCKS. |

Winter is very painful for me to play. I'm waiting for my cow and sheep to grow up so they'll produce their respective items...Chickens lay eggs everyday so I've got about 14 eggs for the Bazaar each week. I go around collecting those colorful rocks and smashing them but 99% of the time it's scrap ore. :\
I DID get a Sandstone...and it got a pretty penny. :3 I have two tea trees and a grape tree. I'll be expanding my fields (that'll make 3 fields). I need to buy ores of Lloyd so I can upgrade my tools and take less energy. Hey, Mizuki...to make better seeds, what all do you put in the Windmill? Seeds+______= 5 Star? quincy: no there aren't any mines. You get ores from Lloyd's shop or you can find jewels and ores in ore stones. You can find ore stones in Winter and I've got a few from jumping in the river too (I asked this same question).
hmChicky: it is so worth buying. I love this game soo much. It's probably the best DS Harvest Moon. Tyler (kumquat): I feel like such a cheater now. When I find an ore stone instead of smashing it I put it in much rucksack, then in the morning (after I saved) I toss them all on the ground in my house and if there's nothing good I reset. I am such a cheater! So I'm already in Winter (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) . And I've been getting all my money from seeds. In Fall I bought the two other fields and filled them with Yams and Green Peppers. I turned them all in to seeds which has helped me reach the goal each Bazaar. I also have four tea trees planted, but they won't grow until Spring. Mizuki I'm hoping they're as good as you say they are. Ugh I'm going through this game way too fast -.-. |

thats awesome, I'm glad to hear people are enjoying the game and it makes me wanna buy it more. Hopefully I will get my copy tomorow ^.^ surprisingly I don't mind the "no mines" thing, probably cuz they've added in lots of new things like the bugs. and just the fact u can jump makes the game awesome haha

You know, the sad thing is, y'all are almost to where I am in the game. I just can't punch my way through Harvest Moon games anymore, no matter how hard I try. Most of you are in your first Winter, while I'm only in my second Summer. *plays only a few days at a time and takes lots of several month long breaks in between plays*

So, uh, to upgrade the watering can and hoe, we use that shiny rainbow-y stone with lumber?
Do I not use silver/gold? |

Yeah you don't use silver/gold. I upgraded my watering can with this recipe: orochilum (I'm not sure how it's spelled, but it's kind a blueish pink), material stone, and then my watering can. For the hoe I'm pretty sure you use lumber and myrtherial (It's whiteish gray).

Sure thing kumquat, but I've never used Wfi before so it might take a little bit for me to figure out how it works (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) . I'll go try and figure it out. Oh and are you planning on marrying anyone?

Well, in most games (like Final Fantasy) its spelled Orichalcum. It's a fictional/legendary metal that's supposedly only second to gold in value. The game's coloring of it seems rather odd though, if you ask me.
The other metal Pumpkin Patch mentioned is Mythril. (Also spelled Mithril.) J.R.R. Tolkien invented it. :D Ehh... For some reason, I just can't be assed to upgrade most of my tools. I just don't care unless if it's beginning to hinder me. |

Wait, so to make seeds you just put the crops in the windmill?

To make crops into seeds you have to use the third windmill (for me it opened Fall 22nd or 23rd). There is a list of all the things you can make and you just select what seed you want. Then you choose how many you want to make (you can add up to ten crops at a time). And then it starts. you can have six sets of items going at once. So all together you can have a maximum of 60 crops being made into seeds at once. But not all crops are more profitable as seeds. Cauliflower seeds are worth much less than the actual crop.

Okay...I'm having problems getting to 50% at the bazaar. It says I need to sell between 40000-50000, I get to about 45000 at every bazaar, but it still isn't working...I'm starting to lose patience with this game...

Ok, that makes sense. I just haven't unlocked that windmill yet. So, will yellow bell peppers sell more as seeds, do you know? |
