Just discussed this with you, Chicken. So I thought I'd post it here for the perusal of others. (:
No idea if this is what I'm even getting, but, this is what I submited: English 3 Honors - Eh, required, don't really want US History Honors -Eh, required, don't really want P-Tech - I regret this choice, since I found out I'm very good at physics. ): Math Models (Would be Algebra 2, buuut...) - I do not regret this choice, since I'm math stupid. :D Law Enforcement 1 - So excited! I hope I get this class. :D Spanish 2 Honors - After not making anything lower than a 90 in Spanish 1, my teacher reccomended that I take Honors. Annd Symphonic Choir 3 - Since he changed around all the choirs and gave them different names, I have no idea what this is. Guess I'll find out if I still go to this school next year. :\ |

Well, my stupid schedule changed. Not drastically, but here's the revision:
SPA 102 M, W, F 9:00-9:50AM ENG 105 (I think? Whatever the one you start out with is. I know all the stuff, but I like the professor a lot, so I'll stay. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ) M, W, F 11:00-11:50AM PHI (I don't even know. It's just an intro course.) M, W 3:00-4:15PM FYE (Freshman year experience. Blech.) Tu, Th (only on special occassions) 11:00-11:50 AM PSY (Once again, intro.) Tu, Th 12:15-1:25PM HIS 110 Tu, Th 1:35-2:50 PM ----- It sounds kind of crappy, but it's nice to just sit in the library and read or print off papers in your spare time. <3 |

Database Management Systems Elementary Calculus I Software Agents I'll also be a Teaching Assistant this semester. Do you know what subject you'll be TA'ing yet? Also, are you involved in any faculty research? And, how does your schedule look (it doesn't seem like you have many courses)? My schedule is pretty bad, but I might be able to make it a positive. Wed-Thurs-Fri I have a 3 hour break in the middle of the day, and Mondays I have a 4 hour break. I'm hoping I'll use the time to get all my homework done, so I can just sleep once I get home. |

I'm not sure what course I will be TA'ing yet, or even what I'll be doing. I could be teaching tutorials, holding office hours, or marking assignments. I don't care what I have to do as long as it doesn't get too much in the way of the rest of my work.
What do you mean by research? I am doing Directed Studies which is similar to research, I suppose, but it counts as a credit. As for classes, I thought I had very few too, but I think it might be how the Master's program works. Coincidentally, only Software Agents is actually a graduate course as I have to take three undergraduate courses to transition to a Computer Science degree (previously Information Technology). My next semester will have four courses (one being Directed Studies whose work had been started now). I will then have a single summer course (Directed Studies) before I begin my thesis. My schedule currently consists of a three-day weekend (Friday - Sunday) with four days of classes every morning. Mondays and Wednesdays will have lengthy gaps between morning and evening classes. I am hopeful I can use the gaps on Monday and Wednesday to do a part-time job, but will have to see. Do you just stay on campus during such gaps? I've always lived close to campus, so I've never had issues. |

You kinda answered this by saying that you start your thesis next year, but it also meant if you were assisting professors with any work outside of teaching. QUOTE Do you just stay on campus during such gaps? I've always lived close to campus, so I've never had issues. I usually work on problems, or read my textbook in the study room. If it's nice out I enjoy going for a walk in the park across the canal. If I'm tired and I have time, I head home for a brief nap and/or snack.I'm thinking about going to the gym for an hour each day, to help break up the studies (and regain my health). |

Directed Studies probably count as research then. I can't use what I work on for them for my thesis though.
Which park do you go to? Hog's Back? |

It's across the canal, where the "lock house" is, you know beside the locks? There's lots of paths, and a nice big hill. It's beside Dow's Lake. |

Ah yes, I had visited that place last week. I walked through it to Experimental Farm and then found my way back home. Walking those locks is much easier than the ones I'm used to.
