Well, last night I was listening to my iPod and the stupid thing started skipping and died completely and I've tried everything and it just doesn't even come on at all.. And this thing is too old now and doesn't owe me anything...
Anyways, I want to know what a good iPod is that isn't too much money {nothing over 250$ atleast...} and I don't really want a touch one and I don't want one that can't hold more than 3,000 songs...

So, I just want some of your opinions, especially people who listen to music a lot, not just people that have like 40 songs on their iPod...

I think all of that should make sense haha.. xp

I love my iPod nano. My 8GB holds 2,000 songs and 8 hours of video. It cost like $149. They also have a 16GB that holds 4,000 songs and 16 hours of video. It's like $179.

Sounds great and you get a built in video camera (with voice recorder). I highly suggest it. :3

Hmm.. I'll have to check that one out. More likely the 16GB... I've been so used to this ancient 30GB {yeah, I've had it for a looooong time}, that I can't handle anything super small since I have so much music on my computer.
The video recorder sounds interesting... Handy when you don't have a camera... But just think of all the perverts out there using their ipods to record... Pervy things... xp

Well... how 'dead' are we talking? Did you see the little "dead ipod" icon? Or did it just stop responding completely? If it's the latter, give it a few hours/days and there's a chance it'll come back to you - especially if it's an older model. If it's the former, then... yeah... It's pretty much time to start looking for a new one. Seeing as I still use an older model myself, I can't really recommend any new ones, but if less space is what you're looking for, Chicken's suggestion of an ipod nano is probably the way to go.

(Though, personally, I swear my ipod mini must be sentient and absolutely love me because no matter how many times it dies or gets the "dead ipod" icon, it comes back to me. It's a reliable little thing. :'D)

I've got one of the old 30gb video iphones. Had it for four and a half years, when the inevitable comes and it stops working I plan to just buy the same model, and it should be cheaper too.

When you say everything, you are including the reset thing, right? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I know, I know, you probably have, but sometimes in our panic, we forget the little things. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Anyway, Chicken seems to have covered most of what you're asking for. I have an 8GB iPod nano (the original, not the thin skinny ones...those annoy me. Mine's all square, or a fat rectangle. <3) and it works pretty good (the lock button's beginning to go bad). I dunno how much it cost, though; Christmas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ;

Yeah, like Zen said, did you reset it?

Anyways, Chicken said it all. That new Nano is really nice. I got so mad that I bought the 16GB one right before that video camera one came out...=/ Plus, it has a radio built in.

Mizuki, it completely stopped responding and it's been a few days now... And it's soo old now that I was planning on buying a new one anyways.

So, today, I was going to look at iPods at FutureShop and I got paid yesterday and my dad said, "Who gives a shit, splurge! You deserve it!" So I spent 330 dollars on a sexy new iPod touch. 32GB... And it's soo purty lol. I'm very happy with it, I know, I wasn't planning on spending so much money but I'm always buying cds and I don't think it would take long to fill one up that holds say like 3,000 songs.. I don't want to have to buy another one a year and a half from now because it's full. This way I can now play games, go on the internet, listen to music.. A million different things, and hell... I had to scoop 330 ice creams {one dollar a scoop -.- } to get this, I deserve it haha.

And yes, Zen, I did reset it, I did everything that I've done before when my older one first messed up on me and even tried plugging it into my computer and my wii to see if it was just the battery and it kept coming up with a warning that made absolutely no sense. I'm happy with my decision. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

*nods* Well, the first time mine died like that it took two weeks for it to come back to life, but now on the occasions it does that it only lasts a few hours. Granted, this same ipod of mine has gotten the "icon of death" on three separate occasions and still been fine.

Regardless, I'm glad you've got yourself a new, awesome ipod touch. It doesn't hurt to splurge every once in a while. ;D

Cooooool. You got the 32GB. I'm jealous. :P Oh well, I'm getting an 4G iPhone for Christmas so at least I'll have a similar apple product. Congratz, though. I'm sure you'll have fun with it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif)

I figured I NEVER spend this much money, and I needed something to bring my spirits up a bit lol.

It's pretty awesome... It's so much fun and the sound quality is a lot better than my old one. I'm still figuring things out on it, since there's soo much to do, and the battery power is soo great compared to my old piece of crap lol.

Yeah, Mizuki, I didn't feel like going 2 weeks without something to listen to lol, and this thing was so old that I needed a new one anyways, I'm holding on to it just in case but I don't think it'll return from the dead lol.

Chicken, an iPhone would be cool, too. And you wouldn't believe how thin these things are... I'm so not used to this haha. And you can use the internet... Youtube, check the weather, it's basically like having a mini computer.
