Pokerus, Ever gotten it? Options

Well, it seems to be stalking me lately . . . >_>

Thought I'd make a topic for people to dicuss Pokerus. If they've ever gotten it, what they did, if they even care~

I think my Pokemon have caught Pokerus three times.
The first was in the original Gold/Silver (probably Gold). I was young, so I don't think I really did anything. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)
Second time was in Diamond. Actually I've got a couple of Pokemon in the PC that probably still have it. Most of it went to waste since I wasn't really playing at the time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
Finally, I just found out I had it on SoulSilver. I was playing, minding my own business, when Professor Elm calls me and starts babbling about Pokerus. After a moment of, "Why the heck are you calling me about that?" I checked my party, and saw that some of the had the little smilie face that means they've had and been cured of Pokerus. 0_o I didn't even know until after the fact . . .

I may have gotten Pokerus other times without remembering it. Not sure though.

I have gotten pokrus all al Gameboy color/advanced pokemon games as well as cured pokerus. It spreads to other party pokemon I think. I have yet to see pokerus on the DS pokemon titles. well on mine so far

What is Pokerus? I am still a kind of Pokemon n00b.

Pokerus is a very rare 'illness' that your Pokemon can catch. I believe it boosts the number of EVs you earn in battles. EVs (effort values) are hidden values that help boost your Pokemon's stats and are earned anytime you knock out another Pokemon.

... I have Pokemon FireRed and Diamond. I don't think I've ever caught Pokerus.

I've played Yellow, Gold, Ruby, Pearl, and HeartGold....and never got Pokerus...

They didn't have Pokerus in Red, Blue, and Yellow.

They did in all the other games though. It's very rare, though. You'll probably get it eventually. =3

Mine have had Pokerus. I believe I had it in my old Gold/Silver. I most definitely noticed it in Ruby/Sapphire. My whole party had gotten it o_O

No, the worse mine have is diabetes from too many poffins.
How do you catch it without actually coming across it from a wild pokémon? I rather want it, especially for the Wobuffet I'm training to have uber health.

Just get someone to trade you a pokemon with pokerus.

All of my team has it, as well as my backup team.

I didn't even know what it was until Diamond, where first my entire monster team that I use in Tournaments got it, though that was worthless because they were already like level 90-100 at the time. After that, I've had several random Pokémon get it and be cured, but I enver really knew what to do with it. I believe that at the moment, one of the only 'mons that still has it is a Latios in my PC.

Got it in the Safari Zone from a squirrel thing, someone told me to make sure I keep a few guys with it in case I need to expose it to others or trade it around, so I have a PC box with a few guys that have it.
