If you've never been there, it's worth the trip.

I figured since so many of us love this site, we should make a page for it. GO WILD!

Also, any random ideas for "cracked-like" articles can be posted here, too. I'll go find my evil fairy tale one.

I freaking love cracked.com!

Whenever I read an article that's particularly good, I bookmark it. Here's about half of them:

As you can see, Cracked is also my second most viewed page (first is Facebook and TV Tropes is also missing from there).

... Wow. I'm impressed, Pixel.

Well, my evil fairy tale article is Cracked-like, minus the curse words. I'll only post it if people want to see it, though.

I wouldn't mind seeing it, but I don't know if I have time to read it right now.

The funny thing is I just started reading Cracked over my Christmas vacation this year. Somebody linked me to an article and pretty soon I was spending hours and hours on there. Plus, I just got my netbook at the end of March, so that list was only started a few months ago.

The 6 horrifying diseases nobody can explain was probably one of my favourites. The one about video game addiction was REALLY interesting too.

6 Beloved Fairy Tale Creatures (With Evil Origins)

What do Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and Lucky Charms have in common? Good job, you watched TV as a child. They all have fairy tale creatures in them. You might think that anything with a fairy tale creature has to be all smiles, magic, and rainbows, but mythology didn't start out that way. In fact, mythology was an explanation for the bad things that happened to people more often than not.

#6. Dragons: Fire Breathing Monstrosities.

Before you rant saying, “ OF COURSE DRAGONS ARE NOT GOOD!” Look at the most recent films made with dragons in them. How to Train Your Dragon showed how the vikings were bad for killing the fire breathing monsters. Eragon had the main character love the dragon to no end. Almost any movie past Lord of the Rings has dragons as large, lovable lizards.

(IMG:http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n127/Amzint/Sleeping%20Beauty/Dragon.jpg)

To the children who did not have the joy of seeing the climax of Sleeping Beauty, here's a quick summary. The prince saves the day by killing the evil witch that had turned herself into a dragon! Most medieval mythology had the brave, heroic knights killing the beasts because they were terrorizing villages. Usually, also, breathing fire can sometimes result in the death of any poor person who happens to be nearby.

#. 5: Fauns were drunk

In case you don't remember what a faun is, that was Mr. Tumnus from The Chronicles of Narnia. If you still don't know what I'm talking about, think of a mermaid, now replace the fins with goat legs, and turn the boobs your admiring into a man's hairy chest. Also, give it some pan-pipes.

(IMG:http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d20/TheLadyRachel/tumnus.jpg)
Do you really want THIS GUY near children?

Now just how could anything like that be evil? They were drunken followers of Dionysus, the god of the vine. For those of you that fell asleep during that history lesson, he was the guy that made men go insane, also probably the guy that made you have one too many drinks at the last bar party. If they followed him, wouldn't you think that that might have given them a bit of a drunken motive to commit evil as well?

#4. Leprechauns are Little Pranksters

If I really have to tell you what a leprechaun is, then you have wasted your childhood and have never seen a box of Lucky Charms in your life. By the way, they look like this:

(IMG:http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk254/softball14_garcia_2008/lucky-charms.png)

Now that your imagination is straightened up, how could a guy known as Lucky possibly be evil? Well, in Ireland where the leprechaun legend started, they would hold pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. But, before you could get that pot of gold, you had to catch the leprechaun, and they did everything they could to keep that from happening, including telling you to look for the pot of gold in the wrong place.
Also, if you've ever participated in the St. Patrick's day fun of pinching people who aren't wearing green, that also started from the little green devils.

#3: Fairies are evil.

When you read that, the first thing that probably popped into your head was Tinkerbell, and the old Peter Pan legend that fairies are born from the first laugh of innocent babies. How could anything as tiny as a fairy possibly be evil? The same way that leprechauns can be evil.

(IMG:http://i712.photobucket.com/albums/ww124/Pixerella/Cartoons%20comics%20etc/Walt%20Disney/Humanoid%20characters/Peter%20Pan/ptrpnnokiss.jpg)

Remember how much Tinkerbell hated Wendy? How she pulled her hair, and told the Lost Boys to shoot her down? This is because not only was Tink the jealous type, but she also had some of that fairy motive to prank and hurt anyone that got in the way of what they wanted, and Tinkerbell really wanted Peter Pan. Wendy was just in the way, though.

#2. Mermaids Will Eat Your Soul.

Let's let that title sink in for a second. Are you confused yet? This is probably because your mythology lesson only came from Disney movies. Mermaids are supposedly beautiful naked girls with fish fins and the ability to breathe underwater. As far as you know, there is nothing remotely evil about living underwater and being beautiful. Until you find out their favorite snack of course.
Male human souls.
Yep. That mermaid you were just fantasizing about, will capture your ship and eat your soul. That's how they lived so long. Being supposedly immortal has its price, and that price is the souls of the unlucky sailors who got distracted by them perched on rocks.

(IMG:http://www.littleariel.com/the%20little%20mermaid_files/image008bb.jpg)
"Hey, Scuttle, what spices go best with human flesh?

Really, she's just thinking of how yummy he looks.

After reading that, there couldn't possibly be another creature that you loved that could be worse. Or so you thought.

#1. Unicorns Raise the Dead (A.K.A: ZOMBIES!)

If you read that and thought that there was no possible way for unicorns to be evil, you are wrong. Unicorns horns, along with the ability to neutralize poisons, they also had the ability to raise the dead. If I really need to explain what happens when you raise the dead, you have never played a video game involving zombies. When you raise the dead, everything goes wrong.

(IMG:http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k479/TheShadowking1/Black_Unicorn_by_ThornErose.jpg)

Also, if the unicorn that raised those zombies from their graves has any tactical strategy planned out, they will probably use those zombies to take over the world, and impale all who oppose with their horn, and fight with their evil fairy tale friends. Also, if you see a zombie unicorn, RUN!!!

I just read through that entire list. Pretty funny. :)

Although I usually prefer the shorter infographics to long lists like that. Today's chart comparing real dreams to Inception was pretty good, I thought.

I really like the informative articles, too. I always like to learn new things (although, it's obvious you should take everything on there with a grain of salt).

Yup. even my quick "I was bored and I felt like it" article is only based on my memory of all things mythological and wikipedia. I might actually be confusing mermaids and sirens, but really, what's the difference? They both sit on rocks, sing, and have fish tails on bottom and girl bodies on top.

I haven't heard of this site either. I can't really figure out what it's about. Is it just articles about strange things (I feel really stupid right now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) )?

That's the idea of the site. It is all random articles about strange things. Some of the stuff is really funny, but there is some stuff that is a bit more mature.

Oh I see. The "mature" part worries me though since I'm kind of a goodie goodie (I don't watch R rated movies or play M rated games ect.). If someone could suggest an interesting article that isn't inappropriate I'd be happy to read it. But other then that I don't think I'll explore the site just in case.

That was amazing. I don't even have a Facebook account and my cousin was asking me to make one just so we could be friends on Farmville. That guy is certainly a good business man and also a jerk (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .
