Just saw the movie yesterday, {Inception if you didn't already guess that}, anybody seen it yet? I think it's one of the best movies, ever made, really, the most creative and well, the nicest looking men in very nice looking suits.
Most people have been saying you have to watch it twice because it's so confusing, but I really didn't find it confusing at all, if you actually pay attention to it instead of paying attention to the fact that the girl gave you the popcorn without the butter, you'd get it. Sure, it leaves you hanging at the end but otherwise, extremely brilliant. So, what are others thoughts about it? If anyone has even watched it here.. |

Also, thanks for making this topic :) |

I was actually surprised no one had made a topic for it yet, considering how much money it's making, obviously people are seeing it.
I want to go see it again, only because I enjoyed it so much - it was filmed so beautifully and just the whole movie was amazing and brilliant, I really could go on forever on how perfect it was. And that Joseph Gordan-Levitt or whatever his name was, was great in it, I can remember him from Third Rock from the Sun... Anyways, everyone should see this movie, I can't think of any faults. |

I'd need to see it again to fully absorb it, but I'm like that with all TV and movies. I barely remember anything that happened in season 6 of House, but once I see an episode twice I've got it pretty down-pat. I think it's one of those movies you need to see again after you know how the ending turns out, just to give everything a little bit more context (kind of like the second time you watch Fight Club).
I did really enjoy it, but in order to get a good grasp of the characters and some of the finer points of the movies, I would have to watch it again. |

Just came back from it.
I found it awful. Honestly. Really, I expected so much more after hearing all these rave reviews for it, and I just ended up leaving the theatre wishing I had seen Toy Story 3 or something. For my tastes, there was just way too much gunfire and crap to be an actual good movie. If you have to fill half a movie with slow-motion falls, punching, and flying bullets, you don't have enough intelligent action occurring. Though the savings graces were the cast (minus Leo) and the mind-bending paradoxes in graphics, I felt that nobody could grasp that mind fart called a plot. Also, those kinds of endings are the biggest cop-outs in the world of movies and books. So yeah. :| I'm probably the only one who noticed, however, that Edith Piaf's Je ne regrette rien was the song that kicked them from their dreams, and how ironically they cast Leo's wife as Marion Cotillard, the same actress who played Edith in La Vie En Rose. |

I was gonna see it yesterday, but I had to reschedule. And now I'm sick-ish. Gonna see it next next Thursday.
Well, I'm glad to see some contrasting posts here! |

I noticed this also :D My eyes are always drawn to her forehead. Inception was no exception. which rhymes Otherwise, yeah. I thought it was decent as films go nowadays. The story was acceptable, as was the acting. I liked the locations especially, also the fact they had Cillian Murphy who played Scarecrow in the Batman films. |

I heard they actually filmed the movies in 5 different countries and this movie has been Christopher Nolan's decade-long dream project. I really liked it. I never saw it advertised or any trailers or anything, though, so I didn't really know what to expect.

I saw commercials and was never told extremely "rave reviews", and I always go into a movie without any expectations and judge it for myself. I thought Leo was good, don't really understand how he did a "bad" job on it.
You can't pay attention to criticts, and what was wrong with the graphics...? |

I just mainly heard, "Oh yeah, this movie's so good!", not really knowing what I was getting into. Enh, for me, he's just a really creepy actor. Kind of like how I'm not too fond of Jonathan Groff, either, just because I dislike his acting style. Plus I just won't ever forgive him for Romeo + Juliet. *barfs on that movie* <3
Ah, but I believe I referred to them as a saving grace--they were quite good. |

Finally saw the movie today. It was good, I enjoyed it. The ending has me a little confused, though. Also, the part where Cobb and Mal are in that Limbo world and they grow old. WELL, if they did grow old, then why were they young when the train came and "killed" them? I don't get that part.
Overall, I enjoyed Arthur and Mal the most along with that one Architect girl (her name escapes me right now). I like them, for some reason. >.> Mainly when Arthur was doing that zero-gravity thing. |

I'm not entirely sure what you mean Roger, but my understanding is that Mal did not recognize that they had grown older while in limbo. Cobbs well aware of this fact, though.

Oh, I think I get it. My cousin was saying that, too. And so that one totem of Cobbs didn't stop spinning, but that was because the film cut away too fast. But he did see the kid's faces, so he was in the real world, right?
EDIT: Oh yeah, you called me Roger. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

The top spinning leaves open to interpretation whether he's still dreaming or back in "reality." The top does wobble but does top fall over. Keep in that mind that no one ever said the top couldn't wobble: just that in the dreams it never fell over. There's no answer and you're left deciding for yourself. I like that.

But remember he couldn't see his kids faces in the dream, but he could at the end. ;o

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too, Flapjack. Though he refused to see them when he was with Mal at the end...
