Yes, the mayor says the dish to make and gives the ingredients. I'm not sure you have to use the ingredients though. That is something I would like to know too. Also the contests are pretty random. Let me explain. When in the cooking contest, you're on a team of 3 against a team of 3 from the other village. Your team is random and the other team is random. Not only that but what food the other team and your team present(except for you) are random.

Hmm that sounds pretty hard to win. I thought the cooking contest was going to be like other Harvest Moons. But this is really different. It doesn't sound that bad though (unless your teammates cause you to lose).

That makes sense. Do you get to make whatever you want or is there some kind of guide line? Like it can't be a desert or something.

Oh I didn't know they have a guide. But whatever it's not that big a deal. Thanks for bringing that up I like the idea of having to figure out the best thing to wear. Do they have an outfit they hate too?

One question: does the quality of food/crops/forage stuff deteriorate?
Caused last time I picked a bunch of flowers, then after 20 days or so the quality is gone o_o; like 0 star o_o;

Yea you better save some crops for cooking in Summer.

Wait do you mean why can't other Harvest Moon games have bachelors like these? Because This Harvest Moon does have bachelors just like that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . Personally I think Micheal is sorta creeper like and Kiriku is to similar to Bob (but I guess I already made my opinions know in that other post).

What I kind of meant (lol) is that we should have designs for these bachelors like in this game more often. I actually really like Kiriku, he looks darn smexy <3 Micheal is actually pretty cool but I agree with the above posters, plus, he reminds me a bit of Vaughn and Skye. I love the art for this game; it's smooth and really pretty. He looks a bit boring too, in persoanlity terms I guess. The bachelors' arts are really awesome, I adore it, especially Kamil's (:

Edit: Eh, just by looking at Micheal once again, its kind of the same stereotypical shy guy with glasses. Like the previous bachelorettes I mentioned in another topic... Why can't Natsume realize that there CAN be hot feisty girls/guys with glasses on? -sighs-

Kiriku's hair is a little bit too long for me. I saw wedding pictures of the characters, and he looks almost girly with his hair down. I also wish Kamil's hair was a teensy tiny bit shorter. Then he would be perfect! It's weird, though, because I like Gale's hair in AP.

And Fiore, I'm not sure if I've seen a "feisty hot guy" with glasses on. Sorry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)

It's so true just because you're married doesn't mean you should stop doing things. At least in some of the older Harvest Moons the guys kept their jobs after marriage (MFoMT). Wait do these guys even have jobs?
