I'm not sure that there is a release date for Europe, but I think it might be sometime this year. Probably towards the end.
Thats my hunch though, nothing official. |

I have faced a problem. As you know, I finally came to the conclusion of what I would name my kids: Caden and Cassidy. There is a problem with the daughter's name though. I seemed to have named one of my cows Cassidy without me remembering. Should I still name my daughter Cassidy, or should I just leave it and wait for my cow to die?

You could always just sell the cow and buy another one.

You're cow'll die sooner or later.
She shouldn't have a problem being named after a cow in the meantime. |

Can anyone tell me what to do on the first day when you start up the game? Stuff that should be done first, such as getting that free cow from Cain |

I'm so happy someone finally posted here! I just got back into this game, but I didn't want t odouble post.
Here is what I can remember from early on in the game: - Buy a duck as soon as possible (you'll need a duck egg) - Make sure to go to the mountain district right away (path that goes northwestish next to house) to complete Bo's bridge event so that you can access the Garmon Mine district quickly. - When you are told you need to meet everyone (to prgress in story), Tolby is under the Flute Field's Watermill, Jake and Colleen are at the end of the town's dock, and Chase is at the Church Plaza lookout point. - Start mining as soon as possible to complete the red bell (iron ore, copper ore, silver ore, and gold ore) - Start trying to grow 10 GOOD (or higher) lettuce as quickly as possible. This was one of the biggest things that ticked me off because I started the yellow bell at the end of Spring. You can grow a different requested crop in Summer, but it can be hard so USE FERTILIZER! - Make sure you are ready to take care of the cow before you accept it for free. Looking over the storyline, that is what I think you should just do at the beginning. If you have any questions along your playthrough, feel free to post them in the linked topic: Help Topic |

D: I just got the game today <3 I'm sho happy, I got it along with a cheap copy of City Folk too. Woot woot! :D Okay, I just need to meet Jake and Colleen. I haven't met Chase either. :> I'm still getting used to the darn map. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/emot-gonk.gif) OH MY GOD. I swear I totally underestimated the camera. It is ANNOYING! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jack_mad.gif) got me confused for a while, but since I have the map with trails, I'll probably get used to it soon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/jack2.gif) |

The map is quite large, but over time you'll get used to it.

Okay, so far I've met all the people.
Now I have to get to Bo, he'll fix the broken bridge and then I can get across it to the mine. Am I correct? |

I believe she mentioned she was still going to be aiming for him. :) I think it's so great when someone can choose who they marry before they play. It makes things so much easier. The only Harvest Moon I tried to pick favorites before I played was actually Animal Parade. Needless to say after I beat the game my whole list of who I liked and who I didn't was almost completely wrong. So I never trust my own pre-made judgments. |

I usually always say I'll marry someone, but end up changing my mind as soon as I meet the person when I actually play. I had my mind set on Candace before I got the game, and I ended up marrying her. This was a first! Who did you marry?

Oh yeah I married Candace in my boy file too! Whenever the game let's you choose your gender I always have a boy file first. That way my girl file is super great. Because of my boy file in Animal Parade I knew the game so well I had every single guy at ten hearts before the start of the second year. After that I permanently married Julius he is so fabulous. I guess I just like that couple.

haha I always choose the guy for marriage in the beginning. and yes I'm aiming for the wizard (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) Chase is a jerk, otherwise he would've been my other choice. Gill is okay but kind of boring. if I was a guy I'd marry the Witch, she's so cute <3
how can you make quick cash in the game? all I have is some decent turnips D:< but that's it. you can improve soil quality by keep planting in it right? And how do you make Good Lettuce? By putting in Decent Fertilizer? D: I really need money right now to buy the milk and strawberry first for Bo. Any tips? >.< ( I spent that 1k on the seeds and some other stuff) :< |

Foraging is a big thing in Harvest Moon games. You'll have to forage early on to make some money. you can improve soil quality by keep planting in it right? And how do you make Good Lettuce? By putting in Decent Fertilizer? D: Based on my experience in this game, the soil gets dryer the more you use it. You'll have to use fertilizer to try to get 10 of the "good" crops. Don't feel stressed though. Even if you can't get 10 good lettuce, you can still just grow good tomato in the Summer. The cool thing is you don't need 10 of the same crop, you just need a total of 10 of the good crops Ruth asks for you to give her (yellow bell quest). For example: 4 good lettuce and 6 good tomatoes. I really need money right now to buy the milk and strawberry first for Bo. Any tips? >.< ( I spent that 1k on the seeds and some other stuff) :< Just try to forage as much as you can, and sell any crops that arn't good lettuce. In case you didn't know, you can buy a milk from the ranch and a strawberry from the farm. One costs 340G, and the other costs 360G. With a day of trying to forage everything, you should be able to buy the food in no time. |
