I'm surprised he's survived in spite of natural selection.

Serebii has new Pokemon. Check out the front page at Serebii.net. It has these listed as confirmed . . . but I'm a little wary. I'm waiting for Bulbagarden to pick it up too.
It's too cute! Finally, a chinchilla Pokemon! This new informations flowing in, so you guys might know more than me by the next time I'm on! Edit: Bulbagarden is reporting the information now, too. I believe it. |

That thing. Is so freakin' cute. Ohmahgawd. I'm guessing it's the Rattata of this generation. ISSOKOOT. <3 Also, that partial of the bird looks pigeon-esque. |

The bird reminds me of Starly, I hope it'll look way different as it evolves.
Anyways, these are looking like awesome Pokemon! And they have a zebra!? An electric zebra? Awesome. He'll be on my team. And that lizard/crocodile looking Pokemon might be a pretty awesome guy, too. |

Shimama has just made it to my favorite Pokémon list. That thing is hardcore. And what's with them and flaming monkeys? Munna should so have a boy version--this one looks way fruity, but dangerous. edit: Did I really just change my facebook profile picture to Shimama? YES. |

All of those besides Hihidaruma (the fire ape thingy) and the mouse looks terrible. The Pigeon is ok but I think the normal/flying Pigeon thing has been done.

Boy, I wasn't kidding when I said you guys would know more than me next time I was on! 0_o Lots of goodies~! Lessee . . .
I love Chiramii. It's adorble. I would be perfectly happy if this was our new Rattata. Hihidaruma, that fire monkey, is frightening. I don't like him at all. Simama, the zebra, is awesome. About time they designed a zebra! It's an interesting electric-type. Meguroko, the crocodile, is okay. It kinda looks like it's wearing goggles or something. Mamepato, the pidgeon, is bland. It looks like a mix between Starly and Pidgey. I guess it's going to be the new Pidgey/Hoothoot/Taillow/Starly. Munna looks kind of boring. It's like some kind of china knick-knack. But I don't know . . . Finally, Gear, I think it's obvious which one this is. It's an interesting concept, but not very creative. |

Just realized that Munna looks to me like a girlie piggy bank. Its name also rings irony in that respect (Munna -> Munny -> Money). I also read somewhere that people are hypothesizing that it is the pre-evo of Drowzee, though I don't see much of a floating, pink, flowery thing evolving into anything like a Drowzee.
I'm praying for a BA Shimama evolution. Like a gorgeous electric/flying/dark zebra unicorn thunder Pegasus Pokémon. <3 |

Some/most/possible all of these don't even look like pokemon..
I mean gen 3 was ugly, but they at least looked like pokemon. Though I admit... Chirami is cute. I want one. |

I think people always think they don't look like Pokemon until they get used to 'em. It's been true for me.
Anyways, I'm getting the fire/dragon type legendary. Also, they have a bunch of screenshots! Looks like they have cut scenes and the professor is finally a woman. |

The only one I like is the chinchilla.
And seriously, Nintendo/Gamefreak, YOU ALREADY MADE A FIRE MONKEY. IN THE PREVIOUS GENERATION. |

Hmm.
Y'know, it may just be my wishful thinking, but I'm starting to think that Shimama looks more and more like an okapi to me. Yes, the name Shimama is a direct and obvious play on the Japanese Shimauma meaning zebra, but still. First, the okapi also has black & white stripes, but it does have a brown torso. However, its ears are somewhat triangular like Shimama's, unlike a zebra whose ears are much more ovular. Plus, a zebra lacks those stocking-esque legs, which the okapi has. Then again, okapis lack a distinctive mane, which Shimama has. So even though it's technically an electric zebra, Shimama's close enough to an okapi for me. 8D |

I also think they shouldn't have done another fire ape. =/ Fire types seems slim, so they should make sure to make them as unique as possible.

I've got my fingers crossed for a fire cat, preferably a lynx.
I'm disappointed with the fire-ape. Not only are fire-types horribly under-represented, but now look what they've done. That thing is awful looking. It looks demented, like they didn't even put an effort into it's design. How depressing. |

I like the Zebra kind of. Maybe. Hard to tell.
Love the cogs, but their noises and eyes look a little too.. Still like them though. Like the bird. Just looks kind of plain. I hope it has awesome evolutions. Otherwise it looks just like a pidgey. Other three look too goofy. But kind of like the way the pink thing looks as a sprite in that screen. |

But kind of like the way the pink thing looks as a sprite in that screen. How it looks like a levitating, pink tick/Metroid about to eat your brains? I could have nightmares about that thing. Enh, I don't think the fire ape's all too awful. Another species of fire Pokémon would've been neat, but ah well. There's a huge chance we may get some even cooler fire dudes later on. PS. My okapi theory is being taken rather well over at serebii. :B |

I think the ape looks pretty cool, but it should have been a cat like you said, Crystal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Just anything else!

I've got mixed feelings about the bird. It seems too familiar. They need to spice up these starter birds. They could've have made it some toucan looking thing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
