I actually only started getting into True Blood the past month or two. The Space channel in Canada started playing the first season so I started watching it and was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it.
Last summer I worked with a guy who had great taste in shows and movies and he told me I should watch True Blood if I liked Dexter, but I still wasn't sure because of the whole vampire obsession lately, but it's actually very good.

It's one of the few shows on television that actually keeps you engaged and excited to watch the next episode. I still love Dexter the most but this is rising in my favourites. :)

Also... If anyone is going to mention things that may ruin anything from ANY of the seasons.. Please use the spoiler thing... I don't want this show ruined for me. :(

I just finished Season 2 and of course, Season 3 is starting this up coming Sunday -dies-

I want it all to play now!!!!! There are probably going to be like 10 seasons as there are 12 books and each book is a season

That would be a correct assumption, James.

Yeah, I have actually. I thought it was lame and got bored/annoyed after two or three episodes.

I can honestly say I have never seen True Blood, nor will I ever see it without medication or under extreme duress

I haven't seen the show, but after reading a bit about it I'm kind of curious.

Just because it's about vampires doesn't mean it's not good! Every episode leaves you hanging and it's exciting.
EB, don't judge something before you even watched a few episodes....

Saffy, I know you like Dexter so you'll most likely enjoy this show, too. Similar to Dexter in that it's exciting and an original story {the books for this show were written BEFORE Twilight -.-}, you should watch a few episodes online or something before actually buying a season. Although they were playing the first season on Space since March so it'd be too late to start watching it that way.
