I've avoided this thread for a while because of...obvious reasons. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
However, the best thing you could do, like everyone said, is start slow. And yes, how is it going? |

I wish you luck and I cheer you on for I hope you don't end up like me. I am now 18 I just started college and I went to try out for some sports they weighed me and I was shocked because the scale had gone over 300 lbs. Now I know thats horrible but I never thought I was that big I too am working on losing weight. Start slow I can walk two miles in 40 minutes but no weight loss yet :C I hope you making progress though. I have no su[port group either I fuel my exercise via RAGE! thats unhealthy however and stressful. do it for yourself and no one else.
Just stick to it |

Remember, you lose weight by expending more calories than you consume. Of course that doesn't mean stop eating altogether, otherwise your body will revolt completely. You need to change your diet and get fit.
For those in this topic trying to manage their weight, just what exactly are you eating? I don't mean that in an offensive way. I've spent the past year really trying to change my junk food diet even though I'm quite thin. |

To expand on Saffy's post, it's not just what you eat, but how much you eat. Keep in mind that the new 'standard portion size' in America is too much for most people to stay thin. So even if you cut out McDonald's, if you're still eating a plate and a half of pasta for supper you're going to remain fat.
