I was always skinny, until my transition to 4th grade. 4th grade didn't only bring new friends and new stories, but it also brought a new school. Me being very nervous about going to a new school, brought me food and food, and food, and more food. I plumped up, and since then, I've always been on the plus side. I don't know how much more I can take. I usually have spurts of working out, but then get bored with it and stop. For the longest time I was at 210, but within 2 weeks I've shot up to 220. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of people calling me fat and making fun of me. I'm sick of it.

What I'm asking for is support. I noticed that I can never keep up with working out because I have no support. I need at least someone pushing me, yelling at me when I don't do it, someone to keep me going. I decided that I really don't have anyone around me to really keep me motivated, so I'm deciding to ask my second family: all of you.

Basicly, I'm going to work out everyday. I'll come on here, and either tell you I worked out today or whatever. If you didn't notice in the title, my goal is to get to at least 195, even 200 would make me really happy. Hopefully I'll be able to reach that goal. Thanks everyone! ^_^

Good for you, ZBoy!

It's a shame nobody's supporting you in real life. Well, I'll support you through the internet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) It's good to take action when you're not happy with yourself!

But remember, it isn't all about working out. You need to make sure you eat a healthy diet, too. You can exercise all you want, but if you're not eating right it won't do you any good at all.

Good luck~!

***

Another thing to remember: Don't aim too low. A lot of people nowadays are TOO skinny. It's not healthy. I don't know what the right weight for you is, but you should try to figure that out. It's not healthy to be too light. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif)

Yeah, I know. A big problem is that my family is always out, so fast food is a big thing in our house. I just know that instead of getting fries, I should start getting the side salad, or get the smaller serving than the larger one.

Thanks for supporting me Crystal! I'm about to go do the treadmill right now. :)

Good for you Zboy for making that kind of goal, but remember you have to take time out of your day to do so, and don't start slackin by skipping a day because that'll make you less likely to do it. Also don't push your self too hard too soon. Don't be throwing yourself in like extreme 5 mile runs and tons of lifting (now I know you won't do that, but still watch yourself early on) because your body won't be able to adjust that fast. Try to eat a little more healthier too, add a bit of protein in your diet to help build a little muscle if that's what you want, but for just losing weight watch your carb and fat intake. Don't just eat salads either because their just a filler, just try moving your diet from junk to fruit which it's natural sugar helps out, I'd actually recommend grapes since they're a personal favorite. Hope it works out for you, and if you ever feel down about working out just remember your goal and how good it'll feel to reach it. I'm sure if you need support that there are plenty of people here that will be glad to help you out. I think all the motivation you'll need is focusing on your goal. Works for me when I do fitness work, which lately myself have been slacking on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

And it looks like Crystal and I thought alike again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

I'd suggest taking a multi-vitamin, so that your body's systems are working efficiently, allowing you to better realize your weight-loss goals.

Play some sports, even if it's something like Cross Country. Actually, go do Cross Country, that will cut you down in no time if you can keep up.

Cross country might be a little extreme from going to no real running or much excersie to a couple miles a day don't you think? Starting small and maybe building up to that would work though.

So I did a half hour working out today. I did 25 minutes on the treadmill at a jogging speed. I then did 5 minutes doing situps/push-ups. I can't remember the last time I was able to do a really serious push-up, so I'm including that in my goal. :P

I would love to do cross country, but it started back in Jnuary, and it's too late to do it now. When it starts getting nicer out here, I do plan on driving out to the town park, and jogging around that area because they have biking tracks that run all around the area.

Get hooked on adrenaline. For whatever reason I'm constantly finding things to get adrenaline pumping through me and no matter how exhausted or bored I am it springs me up into full energy that I can't help but use. I think it helps if you're passionate about a lot of things, so your brain gets excited and starts sending the signal to make more adrenaline.

Shadow boxing is a pretty good activity. You basically just practice punching the air for a while, which doesn't emphasize strength so much as endurance (which is what you'd need), without the stress on your knees that running has.

Cool. my family is trying to do something similar, work out when we can, aka, swim three times a week... I think our plan is backfiring, though. so far, we've only gone swimming once, about two weeks ago. I'm trying to get them back on the routine.

Congrats, ZBoy for wanting to help yourself out!

Pretty much everybody has said it all; exercise and eat healthy. But don't exercise too much, right away, either. Start slow. Maybe say "this week, I'm gonna exercise for 30 minutes every other day and starting next weekend, I'm gonna exercise everyday," or something like that.

You should also try to go on walks around your neighborhood. Walks/runs outside can be more fun then running on the treadmill inside. Eating healthy is also very important, so be sure to eat healthier foods and cut back on the sodas! Drink water instead.

Good luck and you CAN do it! If anybody can do it, it's you!

I've never had a problem with weight but I still work out at the gym and eat right for general fitness and sports. This site really helped me out a lot at first and I also use The Daily Plate to keep track of what I'm eating and get a rough estimate on my calorie intake.

*Blows whistle* DROP DOWN AND GIVE ME TWENTY!

I've been called fat a few times, and even though I haven't weighed myself once for about three years (Err, literally) last I weighed was in the mid-sixties. I wouldn't call myself fat, nor I'd call you, but I started to take up rollerskating three days a week (Not too much, but it's something from absolutely nothing). Or more if we're bored. I go out with Eliza and blade on street paths. Too bad the closest skating rink is in another city. O_O; And I'm starting to walk the dog more. Which I'd meant to do in the first place. Too bad I just recently got kind of sick and Eliza sprained her hand. Suck. But hey! I'LL MOTIVATE YOU! TWENTY MORE PUSH-UPS MAH MAN!
As others suggested, eat healthy, exercise. Take a walk or somehting. Ranch Story's behind you~

You know, you could join a class at the local gym. That way you feel obligated to show up. Not only that, but it's actually fun when other people are doing it along with you.

And as for eating, please don't try those crazy diets they don't work. You lose weight with some of them, but then your body is so starved that you eat yourself into the same ordeal all over again. Try to eat balanced meals and stay away from junk food. You don't have to give it up entirely, just make sure it's worth it to you before eating it.

NOW GO! GO! DO IT OR I WILL PECK YOU TO DEATH! ...:) *meant in a caring way*

Thank you, Suiko, for those links. I've been improving my eating habits and trying to work out more often as well. It's nice to find an article like that summarizes most everything I've learned for a reminder to myself. Also, The Daily Plate and other such sites are fabulous!
