DS will be around for quite some time, if the Pokemon makers wanted to wait til the next system came out, they'd be waiting a long time. Anyway, still hoping for 8 directional movement. Or have they added that yet?

Actually I think a successor to the DS is not that far off. I'd be surprised if one wasn't released by the end of next year. Remember, this isn't the next Pokemon game to come out (SS/HG), it's the one after that. Actually, the reason I suspect a new DS is coming soon is because we haven't seen much software production from Nintendo lately, other than Spirit Tracks and that Mario rpg.

Sometimes it feels a little like they're in a rut with coming up with new games. Though it's not as bad as the stuff the third-party companies are making, I feel like there's a lot of games that ought to be available on the DS that just don't exist yet.

I would, so long as theres new gyms, lands, story, and other new game aspects. I mean a guess a few new pokemon would be nice, but not 100 plus each time. I mean I pretty much just beat the game fast so I can go capture old pokemon.


I understand why its done, its good marketing, and for a lot of people it is needed. Just me personally, I could do without.

I thought you guys might like to know that Serebii says it should have more Gen V information on the 11th . . . unless something leaks out a little sooner.

*crosses fingers for early info*

I would also like to say that, according to Bulbapedia, the Gen V game will be released for the DS - not the new 3DS or whatever. Whoo! I won't have to buy a new handheld right away~!
