I hope they keep Raspberry's name the same in English--it really suits her.
I'm also sure they'll probably change Kilik's name to avoid conflict with Namco. This post has been edited by TheSwedishElf: Dec 13 2009, 02:06 PM |

All the marriageable guys are so darn cute! D:
It's going to be suuuper hard to choose between them. </3 And the girls are all very pretty, too. But I think… Lincorice? Has to be my favorite of the moment. But dude, Kamil and Kiriku are… mmmm. Also, looks like that Sage girl must be the new Witch. Judging my the cauldron in her screenshot. She so adorable. I'd say the little Panda guy is a blacksmith, too, since he's chillin' in front of a fire, is old, and short. Basic HM Blacksmith qualifications. :P |

Alhanalem: Understandable. :D
Katie: I knoooow! This one actually looks fun. I've never been a big fan of the DS/Gameboy/ect Harvest Moons...even though I've never played them. <-< Half of what gets me to play a game is the graphics. Not necessarily great graphics, but decent graphics that aren't all pixel-y and from the dawn of video games era. That might seem wrong, but I get headaches when playing them. I dunno why, but I know I'm not the only one. But I'll be getting this one when it comes out. |

I agree completely, Zen. I mean, I loved the Mineral Town games, but these new "3D"-ish ones just don't seem all that great to me. I've never played them, so I can't really say, but I dunno--I can't get into them because their graphics and gameplay look dull and pixely. I might have to cave in and get this though just because of the cutealicious characters and themes.
After the amaaazing graphics of the GC & Wii platform HM games, the handheld ones, to me, just seem like a step down. |

I usually don't like handheld HM games as much as platform ones also... I was going to get IoH, but then my friend did, and I'm glad I didn't buy it, even though it was fun for a while... I was thinking of getting WB when it comes to NA, but... I'm not so sure anymore... but I definitely have to get this one
I'm not sure which village I'll want to live in, but probably Bluebell.. ... Are you SURE that Sage and Michael are non-marrigeable? If they weren't, wouldn't they be on the "villager" page? (or a "villager 2" page) cause on the official site, there's a "partner", and "partner 2" page (with Ash -> Licorice, and the others) and on "partner 3", there's Sage and Michael. Doesn't that make them marriageable? ... I can read Japanese (as long as it's not Kanji) but I don't know what I'm reading 90% of the time, so I'm not sure if I'm right... I'm just looking at the URL of the pages... Licorice is adorable, as is Strawberry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Wonder how many other people will be named after something edible? (idk if "sage" counts, cause you don't eat sage... well as far as I know you don't :P) I might have to have two files, so I can play as a boy, cause his design is awesome, and so I can marry one of those two :P Fav bachelors (so far) -> Kamil, Kiriku, and Michael, if he is one XP |

You sure? I thought sage could also be a spice....
And I'm also guessing that Michael is the doctor. He just strikes me as being a doctor.... |

I'm just looking at the URL of the pages... Taking your lead, I copied their page link's kanji ( その他の場所の結婚候補 ) into a few different online translators (can't read it myself, sadly). Here's what came up: Google Translate: Other candidates for the location of marriage Babylon: Candidate marriage of other places Word Lingo: Marriage candidacy of other places Online translators can be faulty, I know, but I'm going to agree that they might be marriageable. Perhaps they're without rivals? It would explain the third page. Just adding what I found. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I was thinking like burning sage... you know to purify your house of ghosts.. but of course that's not the only thing it's used for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) That would be pretty funny if he was, cause I seem to like doctors (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) (Jin, Alex, Trent..) Perhaps they're without rivals? It would explain the third page. Just adding what I found. Hm, perhaps... We need someone fluent in japanese to answer these questions (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

Two new villagers revealed--Rudger and Rose, a rich-looking elderly couple who seem to be from the European-style village.

I just thought of something... Sage and Michael must live somewhere besides Bluebell or Konohana, to get their own page like that.
And the translation makes sense then... but what "other places"?? Also, I found some sage in my fridge (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

I want to see Licorice's rival already. My expectations grow the longer they keep him a secret (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
Skarlet: Maybe they live between the villages? Like in the mountains or something. |

Why doesn't someone ask Nurse Fin to check it out if she's got some time? She's pretty good at it. :]

Raspberry and Licorice are awfully cute. <ogle> I like Raspberry more, but I'll probably end up living in Konohana 'cause I always prefer crop farming to animal farming. Though... alpacas... that's kind of awesome. Guh! Can we marry between villages? x_o
Not to mention, ginger protagonist, awwww yeeeeeah 8D. The girl protagonist is really cute, too, as are the bachelors (totally going for Ash if I ever get this.), but those bachelorettes are just too awesome. I really like this artwork style. Who's the character designer? Still the one from days of yore? (I'm guessing that at least this game and Wind Bazaar have the same designer.) My guess is that Sage and Michael are sorta-special candidates, or something. Kind of like Schmidt and Kagetsu (I THINK those are their names...) in Wind Bazaar. That's all the rage in HM games these days, isn't it? Sage looks princessey. And Michael's white hair screams SPECIAL CANDIDATE. (Skye, Schmidt, Vivi... it's a pattern, I tell you!) Edit: OHHHHHHH. Sage is a sage. Her name isn't Sage (the fact that "sage" is an herb in English and some of these names are based on food is just a coincidence), but she is literally "Sage-sama." No name given. x_o I just now figured that one out! Silly me. So, I'm guessing she's on par with other special candidates throughout the series. That is, she probably doesn't have a rival, and you may have to just through a bunch of hoops before she agrees to marry you. But she's a candidate, I'm fairly certain. So my guess is that they live somewhere way out past the edges of the towns, where you can still reach them by walking but isn't quite "in town." Provided, that is, that Bluebell and Konohana aren't linked by footpaths. |

Update!
Today this morning, I went to Bokumono's official website for Twin Villages, and found out that four new characters have been revealed! One of them is the new Konohana bachelor we have all been waiting for! I warn you he is very..... *cough* Anyways, here is the link: http://www.bokumono.com/series/futago/chara/partner2.html He appears to be a doctor, judging by the stethoscope in his shirt pocket. Three new villagers have been revealed! One a little girl, a lip-stick wearing muscle man, and one gardener of sorts (?). I think the last one is Raspberry's mother, I'm pretty sure. The link is here: http://www.bokumono.com/series/futago/chara/villager.html Can someone translate what they are saying? Thank you! This post has been edited by Helios: Jan 22 2010, 06:35 AM |

*snickers* Th-The child-faced doctor's name is Chihiro... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
Cheryl {the little girl} is so cute! ^w^ The lady's name is Eirin, eh? Makes me want to sing... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) {Cookie to whoever gets the joke.} Howard {lipstick-wearing muscle man} is scary yet hilarious--kinda like Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist. I like him already. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |
