Are we talking childhood books now? Haha. I loved The Babysitters' Club. I couldn't get enough of those books.

I liked the Bunnicula books when I was younger (heck, I still like them now) and the Goosebumps series. I also read Nancy Drew.

My mom tells me that the first 'big' chapter books I read on my own were the Harry Potter books, though.

Oh, man, the Bunnicula books! I loved those. I particurally like the one where Bunnicula's "friends" get sent to Château (Wait, did I even spell that right? Accent circumflex looks out of place. =/) Bow-wow. Was it called The Howliday in or something like that?

That's right, Howliday Inn and then later there was Return to Howliday Inn. I believe I have all the Bunnicula books, they amuse me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif)

I don't own them, but I've heard the audiobooks too. Victor Garber has a great voice for the series!

Most of those are books on either the French Revolution or WWII France, while the last few were some really great thriller, mystery, sometimes freaky books.

Finished the first two Dexter books which I loved.

Am now reading Shutter Island, which is coming out in theaters in February.

I read The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. It's really, really good. It's about this white girl named Lily Owens who accidently killed her mother with a shot gun when she was four. Her dad is bordering on abusive and the only mother she knows is one of the African-American orchard workers that works for her dad. One day this surrogate mother is beaten by the worst racist in town and sent to jail. Lily takes this oppurtunity to leave her miserable life. She goes to Tiburon, NC (it was written on the back of this picture of a black Madonna her mother had kept) and finds a conection to the picture via the Black Madonna Honey inside a general store. So she ends up at the colored woman's who owns the business' house and convinces her to let her live their. She finds a "true family" with the woman and her sisters.

I mean, it's REALLY amazing. I'd suggest it to anyone.

I've read about half of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series now. I quite enjoy the books even if they don't have much of a plot. There's a lot of great ideas and humour to be found.

Last night I finished rereading The Scarlet Pimpernel for like the hundredth time or so. Never gets old.
