I recall seeing this before, but I forget where so I'll just ask, can anyone post the speeds of all the animals you can ride? I know cow is like 1.3x normal speed and horse is 2x but what are the others?

Oh and another question, what do you get if anything for collecting all the Sprite Rangers hints?

Horse: 2x the speed of your character
Ostrich: 1.8x the speed of your character
Goat: 1.6x the speed of your character
Cow: 1.3x the speed of your character
Sheep: 1.3x the speed of your character

And you follow the clues to Mayor Hamilton's house, go to his room, and look under the picture of him to find something. I think it's sunglasses....

Also, on average, how long does it normally take you guy's to get a heart for someone?

The guide book says anyone with five or more hearts.

Dudes, I can't be the first to realize this, right? Did you know that if you hold A and swing the Wii remote, it charges faster? Swing once for first charge, twice for second, etc....

I did not know that...

And I usually get a heart from someone every 5-7 days or so, if I'm talking to them, giving a loved gift, and rubbing every day.

I didn't see it looking back, but off the top of their head, does anyone know at how many hearts a wild animal can live with you?

Twi: I highly suggest befriending The Witch, Anissa, Jin (but be careful if you're not married yet), The Wizard (if you can afford about 440G everyday), Candace, and Luna (Lovegood!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Sorry). And possibly Irene if you have the ability.

Anissa, Jin, and Candace all love herbal tea. So on your daily outings outside, just pick up a few, and throw them in the pot when you stop at home. When you go to give Anissa hers, go up to Fugue Forest. In the seventh section, there's always one Fugue Mushroom. When you get to the Witch's Hut, give her the shroom (it's a loved gift). Leave the forest, and head over to town, stopping along the way to check the beaches for a Sakura Seashell. Grab one if you can (check the beach in town if you still haven't found one. Sometimes there just aren't any), and then head over to Sontona's Tailoring. Give a tea to Candace, and give Luna a seashell (it's only a liked gift, because she's very expensive to shop for. So it'll take longer if you're cheap). Head up to the clinic, and give Jin a tea, and walk over to Irene. If you want to, you can give her a potona root (if you have one), or you can give her a tea (it's only liked, though). Finally, head over to the Inn, buy a hot coffee, and then go and give it to the Wizard.

And that's what I do, every day. I've actually gotten the Witch and Candace up to three hearts. I get a heart every 8 or 9 days, because I don't have a second remote and can't rub. I'd suggest only trying to raise hearts with people who you can buy or find things for easily, see a lot of, and working on sections at a time. I happen to go to Anissa and the Witch every day because it was fall, and I'd buy tons of blue mist seeds. Renee was originally in my scheme, but she's really kind of hard to shop for. So I've put her off for now. But that's six people right there. And if you can manage not leaving any bonfires ablaze, and you've rescued him from the fireplace, Hamilton should have one heart. (I don't wanna talk about the bonfire...I thought it'd be funny. Until he basically went down to zero...I've only JUST gotten him back to one heart.)

Animals come live with you at 6 hearts, but at 3 hearts you get the option of picking them up as well as petting them and giving them gifts, which basically is more affection points per day. I agree, they gain hearts MUCH quicker than people. Remember, though, you can only have 1 pet per house upgrade (starting at 1 pet with your basic house, 2 pets after the first upgrade, etc.) and a maximum of 4 pets altogether. And if you want the bear or adult panda you need the upstairs. I also hear that if you want to replace one pet for a new one, you can do that somehow, but I haven't tried it yet.

I'm having difficulty. It's Harmoy Day TOMORROW. So, I'm supposed to give him cake, but he doesn't like it! Lady told me to give him something else he loves, but Crystal's telling me to give him buckwheat pancakes! But I think I found a loophole!! I happened to speak to Calvin and he said that where he's from, they give flowers. Also, in the guide book, the picture next to the festival shows the MC giving Kathy a flower. So, could I give him a sunflower, since he likes those?

Wizard and Witch, full stop. They seem to gain hearts really quickly. Maya, too... at least in my Japanese game. I didn't notice in my American file.
God and Goddess (well, Goddess at least; I'm assuming God by extension) seem to go slower than everyone else, though. o_o

Oh, Perry also loves Herbal Tea. I always end up wooing him, Jin, Anissa, and Candace for the Purple Bell. Witch and Wizard, too. Gill, Chase, Mira, and Barbara (the latter three all love orange juice) if it's summer. When I pressed for completion as soon as possible and had to get everyone in the Spring, I went for Calvin, Jake, and Hayden. Calvin loves wild berry cocktails (which you can buy at the bar or make), Jake loves fruit cocktails, and Hayden likes all cocktails. So buy some cheap drinks, make as many as you can, and you've got three more people.

You can give them whatever you want. I don't think their affection noticeably drops if you don't give them cake. I don't know the affection boost that cake on Harmony Day gives, though. o_o So you may be missing out on what, 5 or 10 LP? Small potatoes, really, at that point in the game.
