Talk about cockasaurus envy!

The Burj Khalifa, known in devolpment as the Burj Dubai, officially opened today. It is the tallest building in the world. It is 341 metres taller than the next tallest building ever made.

So what do you think?

Personally, I'm fascinated by giant buildings and other engineering feats. But this one looks ugly. And it's ridiculously big. It's almost asking for a terrorist attack, except that it's already in a middle-eastern country.

I agree with you on the fact it looks ugly. Also looks strange around those small buildings, but that's obviously gonna happen when you aim for 'World's tallest building' :P

Can't be helped I guess. But yeah. I'm pretty fascinated with old architecture...new buildings aren't really to my taste.

I'm a tad disappointed the CN Tower has lost its title. Of course, its title was always debated as it was.

Good for Dubai, I guess. The rich have something else to feel better about.

Well they're not rich anymore. The whole city is in massive debt. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a ghost town within a few decades.

The thing looks like something I made in Simcity 2000's building editor as a kid. There's something to be said about engineering feats and them not mattering if it's not pleasant to look at. Unfortunately I can't say much more than that, since I don't know anything else about the building.
