I can't stand the Toucan Island music nor the Animal Festival music.
Also hate how if you're up late, all the villagers keep
telling you to go to bed.

- The fact that everybody seems to magically teleport to wherever they're going, instead of actually walking there. It just seems lazy. Like really, really, really lazy. I see no reason why they had them walking everywhere in ToT, but couldn't do it here. It makes the entire game feel so much less believable (yeah, I know, it's Harvest Moon, but still...)

- The whole "Harvest God" to "Harvest King" thing. Honestly, who in the world gives a darn? It's not that I really care or prefer it either way, I just don't understand it. And why, if it's such a big deal, is the Goddess still the Goddess? It makes no sense =P

- At first I loved how big and expansive the world was, but I started to hate it almost immediately when I realized how choppy and laggy the loading screens are. I got used to it eventually, but it really bothered me at first. That, and it takes forever to walk anywhere.

But I still like it more than ToT, and I played that forever. And oddly enough, I actually like Chase in this one. So far. I've only got him at five hearts, and I'll probably end up changing my mind if he gets too sappy, like in ToT.

I'm going to be very brief in this post. My main pet peeves with this game are...

- You can only save at your house. That just annoys me to no end! *bangs head on TV screen*

- The time it takes to raise a villager, wild animals, or an animal's heart.

- The passage of time, in general. One hour in Animal Parade is about three minutes in real life.

- The bell quests. I know they are important to the plot, but some take a ridiculous amount of time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) Like finding one Gold Ore took my sister about three days to find.

- Finn. Period. He can be so annoying with his whining and pushiness! But sometimes, he does have some nice moments. :)

Ores don't sparkle...
When you do get an ore it's usually scrap metal...
I got so pissed from getting scrap metal, I took my sickle & hammer to Mira's head.
Also I hate how expensive things are...
And how it takes like TONS of wood to upgrade a house...
Also I hate that now to upgrade a tool its 3 ores instead of 1!

I personally really love the game, I think its overall better than ToT. The only thing I really dont like ,and others have brought this up is the teleporting.If you want to find out where someone is at and you put a tag on them you better hurry and get to them before they teleport to the other side of the country.

Hi All,

This game is better than ToT but the thing that drives me up the wall is the darn ore refining! Got 8 wonderfuls from the last floor in Garmon Mine - all turned out to be glass! (grrrrrrrrrr)

The teleport thing is annoying and just once I'd like to have ALL the characters on the island FROM THE START!
Hate it when you wanna try and woo a certain someone and they are not even THERE yet >.<

-What I mainly hate about the game is the teleporting characters, like others have mentioned. Since you never see Chase outside...unless I guess you marry him.

-And the ore refining... You pay quite a bit but sometimes get absolutely nothing but glass....

-The long days are a bit annoying, but I just go to bed at like 3 if there's nothing left to do :/

-The camera angle sucks...

-The fact that the second coolest bachelor in the game doesn't live with you... but I guess it's alright, since I'm in love with the Wizard <3

And why is it that the 9 heart things the bachelors say, and the 10 hearts, is exactly the same? T_T

One night, while playing, I went to refine some orbs that I collected during my mining work and with crazy luck I got a RUBY! from only one red wonderful I was like... no way. lol (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Anyways, at first I really didnt like to pick the outdoors items such as, berries and Mushrooms... yeah the real money makers during the first month of the game, but I soon realized that the money is really in the minning and refining, because fishing is not happening for me for some misterious reason. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif)

What I really hate is the shop prices. I mean, c'mon... it is seriously too expensive and it's kind of frustrating me. I know that to earn some money I have to give up some money, like the saying goes, but really ppl the upgrades in this game is meant for you to really work for it.

It's not laziness. To have time running indoors would require events for every possible place when you should not be inside anymore. The people would need to kick you out of the house. It doesn't sound like much, but it's still a fair bit of work. As for tools, like I said, it could have been buggy and stopping time momentarily may have been a quick fix. I call in HM64 you could go to the hot spring and if times right, end up naked in your house the next day. Lots of bizarre things happen when dealing with a time system, so I feel they were justified in their actions. And really, is it even that big a deal? I'd just like time to go a bit faster.

Time not passing indoors has actually saved me many times. Before I got any animals up to 5 hearts, I had to run by foot. I think one time, I forgot that I needed fodder, and the next day Horn Ranch was going to be closed. I had no phone (nor the money) to order fodder and feed over the phone, so I had to race to the store before it closed. I got there at 17:50. If time had passed indoors, I would've been kicked right back out, and my animal would've gotten mad at me for not feeding it. So, I'm very much okay with time not passing indoors. ^^;; And as far as time stopping when you use tools, it's saved my animals a few times, when they're stupid enough to start to turn around to walk across the area I'm watering. If I'm quick enough, I can water the area before they get in the way. And I know the simple solution to not getting your animals while working in the fields is to wait until you're done with those chores before you let your animals out, but sometimes I forget.

As for my pet peeves...

-Characters have changed personality. I loved that Selena was a female dog at first, and that Chase and Gill were a bit arrogant. Now they're nicer, and it bugs the absolute crap out of me. And Kathy kinda insulted me. She said she thought I was going to be unreliable at first, but I'm okay. Gee, thanks. Good to know that you thought I was a spazz at first, and now I'm just "okay".

-I hate that when you're cooking, you can't check your recipe when you click 'recipe'. You have to search through all of them, and if you don't have it already, you don't know for sure. In ToT, if you hadn't made the recipe, but you had all the ingridients there for it, when you hit recipe, it would have it already, I think. That was nice.

-I despise the refining. I can handle it costing. But could they sparkle and give me a hint, please!? TT-TT

-I think this is my number one pet peeve. Okay, I married Owen, right? I took him for a walk on the day of the Starry Night festival. Kathy was there, too. So, I go and talk to her, and what does she say? "I love looking up at the stars. They're so beautiful. I might have the courage to tell that special someone my feelings," or something like that. That girl was makin' a move on my man!! >3< Afterwards, I noticed she'd walk close to Owen. I pulled out my axe, and she walked away. A little freaky, but hey. She just messed with the wrong girl.

-Like Strawberry Kiss, I don't like that when you get the 20th heart, it's the exact same dialogue as the 19th heart. Okay, you want to be with me forever. Got anything else to say? "I love you" would be nice every once in a while....

-I do not like that they don't let you choose what your spouse calls you. :( I was so looking forward to being called "Sweetie" or "Honey."

-Livestock's moods. I don't get why some days my cow and/or horse have the mad squiggly over their head when I first walk in, and sometimes they don't. What the heck?

-I don't like that the second child is, as another topic says, shunned. You have hardly any events with them, and it's fairly depressing.

-I don't like not being able to see what I'm buying. Oh my gosh, I hate that so much. Before I buy anything, I go to Fogu, because they give pictures of pretty much everything you can buy.

-I find it really weird that when Owen gave me a garnet as a 2 heart present, and I got it made into a necklace, it went from being red, to purple. o-o Whaaaaaa?

-As Loser said, it's annoying/weird that the people teleport from place to place. I can understand some things, because for something like Renee or Kathy to walk all the way to and from Harmonica Town and Horn Ranch is a lot. But, maybe skip your ranch inbetween? Like, maybe 'magically' transport Renee to the entrance of Harmonica Town/Horn Ranch, and have her walk to the place she'll be wandering around at? :\ Maybe that's just me that feels that way.

-I hate the colds. I went about 2 weeks with one. I figured that I'd eventually wake up one day and it'd be gone (it was towards the beginning. I didn't have the money to go buy cold medicine). But it didn't. It was so annoying. And nobody even cares. :( At least in ToT, they'd make some comment about it.

-Hamilton never says anything relevant. You're at a festival, and he says, "The painting at the Church? They say it's a gift from the Harvest Goddess, blablabla." And that whenever you win a festival, you're only acknowleged for the first one you win.

-Finally, the one thing that makes me truly angry (other than colds), is the animal race. I cannot win it for the life of me. I always get last. And I have a horse at 10 hearts!! DDx Whyyyyyy? I get my butt kicked by the goats!

The camera angels when your running from your farm to the town bugs me soooo much. The island is pretty, why do we have to stare at our character running along a dirt road?

Mining! Before, on ToT, you knew when you had a good ore because it would sparkle. It also didn't cost anything to refine your ores...

I don't like what they did to Owen and Luna. Owen looks like a bobblehead and Luna just looks weird... Like a twenty year old woman trying to pull of a little girl. Plus, they changed a bunch of dialog and it sounds corny now...

In JuliusxCandace first rival event, Candace called him "okama" (gay/crossdresser) in the Japanese version. Now he's all offended (in the english version) because he thinks Candace called him "short". Lame

The whole god/king thing is kind out of whack. The translaters shouldn't give a crap about "offending all those hard-core religious people". And then why isn't the goddess called "queen"?

My number one pet-peeve is that when your talking to people, they don't acknowledge things like they did in ToT. Although I am glad Luke stopped calling all the girls "babes" after they got married. I don't get the entertainment from Owen and Luke when anything happens with Julius like I did in ToT... :(

It upsets me that no matter what type of child you have they call you "mama" or "papa". At least in ToT, you child called you different names depending on their type.

The mining is also irritating too, you have to pay just to get a bunch of junk ore and glass.

It's also funny, cause I was tired of always a brown-haired, brown-eyed child, but now I wish I could have at least one of my children to look like me, and one look like my spouse.

The thing that bothers me the most is the time. I'm normaly done by like 400pm. Unless I am mining. Then I run around doing random things, but then I get very tired. So I play like 2 days and have to quit... also it takes forever to raise hearts...or maybe it seems so because I get real tired...huh...don't know. Don't get me wrong, I love the time not going inside, but maybe time going slightly faster.
