Why do all the outfits my mom pick for me make me look emo?

I think the better question is, why is your mom picking outfits for you?

Yeah, I don't like trying on clothes in a store. Is that weird?

My brother is the same way. It really comes down to which is worse, shopping for your own clothes or wearing stuff your mom picked out.

My mom has pretty good fashion sense. Although it is humiliating when she refers to a shirt she got for me as a "top". And she keeps calling hot dogs "wieners". What's the deal? I could like, just die.

Overall, are you for or against using nuclear energy to replace fossil fuels as much as possible in the short term? Sustainable sources aside, I mean.

Wiener is a hilarious word, you're going to have to accept this.
The studio audience hoots and hollars. Not really, mainly because of nuclear waste. The better solution is to just reduce energy consumption (really a US thing), at least until stronger forms of energy become usable (particularly the dream that is fusion energy). Power plants are businesses, though, and keep things moving so I really can't expect people to just shut them down. |

Would you like to see the music video for The Rim by Sevendust? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) See, if I ask I won't get in trouble, right? |

Not interested. Also, it makes for a poor question if you just ask if I want to see a video.

Is Hillary Clinton a cunning linguist? I mean, she's a very skilled speaker and all.

For a direct answer, nope, she's not a linguist, though she is cunning. For an indirect answer, nope. yawn |

Are you sure? After all, I'm pretty sure Bill's famous quote "I did not have sex with that woman" was referring to his wife all along.

It's a tough call cuz you can't really truly know a politician (unless, I guess, if you were to study their whole political career), but I would have to say Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and John Kerry. If you'll count it, Ted Kennedy as well, since his death was so recent that his work is still very relevant today. Also Al Gore, but he's not really in politics anymore.

Al Gore and Ted Kennedy would be good choices. Kennedy died a month or so ago of a brain tumour, if I remember. It's a shame, he did a lot of good. Obama hasn't really done enough yet for me to make a decision whether I like him or not.
In England, they're practically all bastards. I don't mind a few people from the Green Party, and our environmental secretary guy Ed Miliband is alright. When do they plan to close Guantanamo Bay? I haven't been able to find any kind of target on the internet... Is there a target date, or are they just gonna leave it till someone brings it up? |

Barack's in a tight spot and working to fix a lot of shit all at the same time, so I can't blame him for not having a large accomplishment yet. Everything is still in progress. Anyway I like his pragmatic approach. Also, they haven't set a date on Guantanamo, just supposed to be sometime next year.
I remember watching the "that depends on what your definition of the word 'is' is" thing in 3rd or 4th grade (I forget cuz I had the same classroom and teacher both years), along with the OJ Simpson chase, trial, and verdict. |
