Lucky! Our family has A LOT of little kids.
Now I'm trying to think of what to ask for Christmas. My gift was supposed to be a TV (which we got on Friday) but it was so cheap, my mom said she might buy me something else too. 8D I love gifts, pfft, who doesn't? |

I was going to ask for an iTouch, but I realised that would be my only gift which to me isn't very exciting, so I've been pretty wshy-washy on what I'm asking for. :/

Hmm, what do you feel like you need the most? A TV? A couple of video games? A blu-ray player?

Not entirely sure. All I've asked for so far is:
- 3 more Wii Motion + - 2 more XBox360 controllers - Little Big Planet - Sims 3: World Adventures - Wii Points That's the basic idea. I had asked for the Beatles Rock Band, but then realised it is practically the same price as an iTouch so that idea was dropped... |

Ahh I see! That sounds look a good list. Now that I said blu-ray player, I might want to ask for that, haha.
I'd say ditch the wii motion pluses, because there are really no games that use it at the moment. |

I know, it's just really hard to try to come up with anything. I already told my parets that if I don't get anything on my list I really won't be dissapointed this year. I've also been thinking about and researching what types of XBox games I would enjoy because I currently only have Halo 3 and Fable II and I've beaton/grown quite tired of them both. I really want to be able to enjoy my XBox. :P

Shadowrun and Borderlands. Get those. Shadowrun is my favorite FPS ever. The company went under so theres no updates and only like 9 levels (three types of games). But I hear people always talking about finding it new in bargin bins for as cheap s 5 bucks. I think Gamestop still charges 30 bucks though. Its multiplayer vs. only.

I put up the Christmas tree the other day and it looks great! It's all silver with colorful lights. How can anyone hate Christmas time? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) I could tell you exactly how, but I don't wanna be a scrooge. >_> ClassicTyler: That's okay, Tyler, you are not alone! But~ I happen to find holiday facts fascinating all the same. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) |

But people already think I'm crazy for disliking Christmas! My reasons are downright depressing, let me tell you.

Haha, it's fine, really! I won't think you're crazy or anything. It is possible to not like Christmas.
Go ahead, spit it out. |

But this topic is supposed to be for celebrating Christmas!
I'm not posting a rant here unless ZBoy wants me to, since he started the topic. |

Lolz, I don't think ZBoy will mind you adding in to the discussion.
But alright. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Umm, is it the whole "nobody truly knows the meaning of Christmas?" Or "people are more worried about shopping and material objects?" Cuz I can see where those come from, but honestly, I just like the feeling of the holiday season. The actual Christmas day isn't really the main thing I care about. |

Well~ You asked for it!
Okay! Let's be realistic here, almost nobody treats Christmas like it's supposed to be. The first reason I dislike it is the stress. There's all this, "Oh, I have to get the right gift. Oh, what if they don't like it? Oh, what if I can't get it in time?" People just fret and fret, and half the time - people don't even appreciate the gifts they get! Do have any idea how cranky people get around Christmas?! There's the massive amount of money that has to be spent. Think about it. Do you have any idea how much money people have to spend just on their family? Especially if they have kids. It's part of the stress, too. "What if I don't have enough money for this? I'm going to have to cut back for a long time!" Plus, you can't just give gifts to family or certain friends. You are obligated to give gifts to some people, because they will be offended if you don't. And a lot of people don't even think about the gifts they get, they just pick out something random because they have to give a gift. It's not just gifts that drain money, either. Do you know what kind of a drain those lights put on your electric bill? (They're a really bad fire hazard, too!) There's the shopping. People will snatch things right out of your cart when it's crazy on Christmas Eve. What kind of holiday spirit is that? And people get impatient when they don't get out of the check-out line quickly enough. Christmas is really, really hard on people working in retail. Oh yeah, don't forget the ridiculous return lines the day after Christmas. Yeah. That's real appreciative. A lot of greed comes into Christmas. "I want this and this and that! Gimme, gimme, gimme!" A lot of people do not appreciate what they already have, and don't appreciate what they get either. A lot of family fights break out on Christmas, too. Sure, you're supposed to get together and celebrate, but there's all this stress and everyone's gotten themselves so worked up . . . Sometimes you can't enjoy it even if you don't fight. You're just so exhausted from everything. I'm against cutting down all those trees, too . . . so yeah. >_> Not to mention that there are all kinds of religious issues involving Christmas. And there's the whole Santa Claus thing. I won't go into that though. In short, the idea of Christmas is wonderful! But the reality? It's horrid. Well, that was a lot of typing. 0_o --- Oh! I forgot the commericial aspect. It comes earlier and earlier every year. ABCFamily actually had a countdown to the 25 Days of Christmas! Omigosh! Half the time, I'm sick of hearing about Christmas by early to mid-November. -_-; |

Your statments are fully understandable, and I totally get from where you're coming from. You did prove a lot of good points and I'm not gonna lie, but every one of those is so true. I'm not saying you just changed my view of the whole season, but I'm just saying I fully get what your trying to put accross.
