Is anyone going to do the whole Black Friday scene?

I was looking around and it seems like you do save a lot of money on certain items. I want to buy a TV. Which will be my Christmas present if we do find one tomorrow.

Here's a site where you can check stores and see what you can buy for a good price tomorrow.

I will not be stepping a single foot outside my door tomorrow. I save more money by not spending anyway. >.>

Day after Thanksgiving sales are some of the most horrifying things you will ever experience in life. Aside from the death of a family member or losing your job knowing that you have an entire family at home to support, that is. (Or perhaps learning that you have a terminal illness and will die soon, but still. It's pretty high up there.)

What? Go out and deal with the masses? The people fighting over merchandise, stealing out of your cart, shoving you around, cussing you out?

I will stay home and keep all my limbs intact, thank you very much. >_> Saving money isn't THAT important.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) You guys make it seem like it's this horrible event! It's really not that bad. People just want to save some cash on X-Mas gifts or other stuff. Like I need a TV and it would be way better if my parents could save a couple of 100 bills to use to buy other Christmas gifts. If we don't go now, then we would pay more for a TV later on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif)

I dunno, you don't have to be one of the first people in the store, just go at like 8am or 9am. That's what I'm doing!

Lolz I kind of think it's exciting. XDXD (As long as nobody gets hurt)

Oscar, I hope you make it out alive. D:

I saw something on the news about a poor old kind man getting trampled to death because he was unfortunate enough to get the job of opening one of the stores doors.

I know, it would suck to have to do that! But I think this year all stores are taking extra precautions. All you gotta do is be careful.

Haha! Don't worry, HMR, I know I'll be fine. I'm going at like 8:30am, I'm more worried about finding a good TV then the people running about.

I usually do the Boxing Day sale rush, but Black Friday doesn't really exist here.

Ehh I don't leave, but my mom and aunt leave every year at 6 in the morning. They usually don't come home until about 7-8 at night. :P

...I don't like crowded places to begin with, so I'm not really interested. I mean, I may go out to buy a magazine or some make up or something today, but I'm not chasing a million sales.

Me and my sister always go out on Black Friday.
We never buy anything, since the lines are so outrageously long, but we like to look at all the cool stuff and spend the day at the mall.

Went out this morning before work and headed to Best Buy. No movies were marked down like I wanted, but I did get some CDs. Best Buy was actually very organized and only allowed such and such amount of people to come into the store at a time to prevent the crowding.

It's slowly infiltrating. Going through the fliers yesterday I found specific mention to B.F. from Canadian Tire, Sears, on of the furniture stores, and those are just the ones that I remember. Stores are even opening at 7am (I don't know if they realize that most Americans have a holiday). From what was advertised, the sales were ok, but not boxing day good.

I don't really do Boxing Day, as the last few years I was working (for time & a half). Still, there's not many things I'm interested in purchasing. I used to go to the musical instrument store (I got my electric for half-price because they didn't sell so well I guess) but they don't really do good markdowns anymore.

My mom works at Toys R Us, and the store opened at midnight. I went to drop her off, and the lines were HUGE. Out the door huge, it was so crazy! Some guy was making a lot of money selling food the waiting mob.

And the sales were different at different times. For example, bicycles were on sale from 12-5, but then after they weren't, but skateboards were on sale from 5 onwards, but not before then.

I just drove home and went to sleep..

There's Cyber Monday too. And that you don't have to get up and face the crowds for!
