At the end of the season, the game tallies up how much money you've made in Crops, Ranching, Fishing, and Mining. The one you've made the most money in (relatively; you don't need to make as much money in Fishing as you do in Crops for any given rank) counts toward your "farm rank," which Finn pops up and tells you when you go to bed on the 28th.
It's explained better here, and if you still don't get it, Hamilton clues you in on it Summer 1st. |

Can dyed silk be used for anything besides selling? I remember reading someone on here talking about how much less dyed silk sells for than regular silk of any quality above decent now and it seemed odd.

Nope! All silk thread goes down in value after dyeing except for red and blue, and then it only raises the value if the original thread was decent.
It's all just silly. |

Rubbing is way to raise hearts with a villager or animal more quickly, but to do it you'll need two wiimotes.
Take your second wiimote and point it at the screen, a heart-shaped cursor should appear. Wave the cursor over any villager or animal for a bit, and they'll jump or nod at you or do something happy. Then . . . their heart points go up! Yay~! . . . I want another wiimote! *only has one* |

Has anyone tried playing with the Classic Wii Controller, and then rubbing with the WiiMote? I'm wondering if this works because a second WiiMote would set me back $60, and a Classic would only cost me $20. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif)

Speaking of heart levels...Does anybody know if there's a list somewhere out there saying the loves / likes / dislikes of all the characters? I've searched and so far have only come up with the Bachelors. Which is only about 1/3 of the characters...

the strategy guide has everyone's likes and dislikes, you could ask twi to scan a page or two.
or type it up (I don't have it yet, but if I did I would type them up for you ^^" or scan them ) |

Ha ha, I would appreciate a list very much. I'm sure scanning every character page would be outrageous. I told myself that I would play this game cheat-free, and try to do it all on my own. I would make my own lists of what people loved / liked / disliked and all. I'm now 16 game-days in to it, and my list consists of a sheet of paper in a notebook with a heading of: HM AP Characters. After that is complete blankness. I really want to do it on my own, to achieve something, but...I don't think I have that type of willpower... But I'll probably keep looking online. I wonder if the ToT characters have the same likes / dislikes in AP too (Candance, Gill, Hamilton, etc.)

Cheerio Cake: Ushi has some villager likes and dislikes. Go to fogu.com/hm/animal_parade and you should be able to find it from there.
Sparrow: Try talking to Dale, the game should walk you through it from there. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) My wii's lens reader is so dirty, it won't read my disc now...So I can't play until next week, that is if my dad can fix it. So I'll need stuff to do. -_- |

^^ D'awww! That sucks Twi. D: ^ He has to be near the mine cart and talk to him. He'll say he is hungry, so just feed him something for the next few days.

Twi: You might want to just send it off to Nintendo, especially if your Wii is under warranty. At least ask the folks at tech support if it is.
My Wii died right as I was about to beat Tree of Tranquility (D<), more than two years after we bought it. So we figured its warranty had long since died, but we managed never to activate the warranty in the first place, so the one-year warranty started when I shipped it off. They're very prompt; fixed it and sent it back within the same day. Though, something as small as a dirty laser shouldn't require such measures... not for the electronic masterminds of my household, at least; I don't know about your family. |

Great. Now I'm worried about my Wii dying. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif)
I've had it for a while, so I don't know about the warranty. I don't think I have the papers or anything that were in the box with it either . . . >_> |
