Was there any lag while you were running around outside?

No lags. But my Wii sounds like its gonna have one.

But in certain areas (like the paths between your farm and the town or feilds), the camera angle is all weird.

But other than that...... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) This game is fun!

Sadly, you have to grow your own grass or buy your own fodder. Its like FoMT.

If its all right, I'd like to start a topic explaining some things within the game.
Its a real pain figuring out all the new controls.

You should make your own topic about your observations. There hasn't been one yet, and I think this forum is in need for one. That's good to know about the lag. I got scared when Nikki said that there was annoying lag in her game when she walked outside...

I think lag is going to be more dependant on the Wii than the game. So if you're Wii is in really good shape, you should be fine on lag.

Like, I know a lot of people complained about lag in ToT, but it hardly ever lags for me.

How exactly would you describe an "in shape" Wii... :/

One that's kept free of dust, handled gently, prevented from overheating, free of off-brand 'upgrades', et cetera.

Having one with a relatively empty hard-drive probably helps prevent lag, too. The more you have on there (channels, saved games) the more likely it will lag.

But sometimes, your Wii will lag no matter how well you care for it. =/

Well that makes me hopeful, I don't have much on my harddrive, I don't let it overheat, I don't have off-brand upgrades, and I handle my wii very gently, the only thing that may pose a problem would be dust, but I just looked it over and it doesn't look dusty so I'm hopeful (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) I'll let ya'll know if mine lags when I get it tomorrow.

Oy vey. I've got a modchip, bunches of downloaded material, and my Wii's been around since release and has been through its share of... well, being tossed about in a box. (I did have the disc drive replaced a year ago when I played ToT, because it decided it would break when I was two days away from reviving the tree, so that should be in okay shape.)
AP is going to hate me. :[ The Japanese version works fine, though...

You didn't have a lag Rack? You're lucky. haha, everyone else I talked to has one too

to answer the question, it just makes you person walk a little slower and it doesn't look very smooth.

No matter how well you keep your wii, if a game lags its not because of the condition of the console, but the software written for it. TOT was slow in parts regardless of how new or old wii is, cant be helped. Now of course you want to keep it from getting it to dusty because of the potential of over heating... but it would have to really get clogged to be an issue.

I checked about 10 stores today with no luck. The best answer I got was Tuesday, while some stores said it could be as long as two weeks. So you know what? I'm not going to bother with this game.

I'm actually a little concerned about this reported lag. My Japanese version of the game has never had a problem with lag... =/ In fact, that only games with which I've ever had a lag problem were games I played on the North American Wii, hmm...

But I'm glad to hear that most of those who ordered it on Amazon have gotten it. ^^ I used amazon.com when getting the English versions of Island of Happiness, Tree of Tranquility, and Rune Factory Frontier for my sister. XP And I'll probably use it again when my sister wants AP.

It can be so hit-and-miss with stores. =/ Our local Gamestops (we've two of them, both in the same mall, which is weird) and Toys-R-Us rarely carry HM games, Wal-Mart never does, Target and K-Mart hardly ever do, and Best Buy sometimes has the DS games but never the Wii ones.
