I didn't like the Remake of The Chocolate Factory...
I have my doubts on this one... I love Johnny Depp, but I'm on the fence on this one.

I'm sure it'll be great!
I'll make sure to watch it when it's release here, maybe about 2012...

Sooo I saw the trailer for the first time today in theatres, and am severely disappointed. It's another sequel story to the original Alice in Wonderland, and after seeing the semi-terrible Syfy channel remake Alice in December, I fear that this could end up being a flop. Sure, the graphics and costuming look cool and all, but the plot of "An Alice returning to Wonderland to save the world from the evil Queen" has been done. It kind of annoys me.

It really does look like someone shared the scripts of Tim Burton's AiW with the Syfy special Alice. Girl is magically sent to Wonderland completely oblivious, everyone in Wonderland thinks she's the original Alice but she isn't, the Queen has taken over Wonderland, and the new Alice & the mad Hatter & the White Knight (now the White Queen & army) team up to saaaave Wonderland. Whoopee. The only main differences are that in the Syfy special, Alice was following her kidnapped boyfriend and the whole thing was more futuristic. Here Alice is running away from a proposal and everyone looks like they're on crack.

I mean, I still want to see it, but I feel like I'm going to be disappointed. And now I have to see it in 3-D. Great. :|

I went to see Avatar in 3-D, and they gave the preview for this. It looked pretty cool with the 3-D thing going on.

That being said I'm not really excited about it. I dunno I'm not much a fan, but I'll probably end up being dragged by someone to the theater.
