It is pretty much confirmed they removed online features off of the American version. In a review in Nintendo Power, a final statement was something about how they wished there was some kind of WiiConnect24 feature.

the reveiw does make it seem that way.. but maybe it just wasnt in the demo they got or something?.....

Players can take pictures of their farm, their family, or their village and show them off online!" unless they removed it since the time they wrote that... |

Thats okay, I would hope the focus is on the single player aspect, not to be disrespectful but, no one messes with my farm :P
