Favourite art movie? And if you say "none" you're just another brutish, uncultered American.

I was supposed to read lots of them, but I never did. The only two I bothered to read were Catcher in the Rye and Dune.
Aren't all movies art movies, really? Unless you mean it's about artists and their art, or something. Be more specific. Guitar Hero isn't my thing, but Aerosmith is always cool. Better to play their songs for real than on some plastic baby guitar. |

So, I may have asked this before, but what do you like besides Aerosmith? |

What I don't know, you don't know I don't know. You don't know for sure that I don't know everything, so you'll just have to take my word for it. Also, that subtitle handles a lot of other stuff. Anyway I just can't get into Guitar Hero. But to be fair, most people can't get into F-Zero. Everyone has something they can't relate to other people about.

So...hm...I'm running out of questions, because I need sleep. Um, did you ever decide what to do with your hair? |

Oh, I ended up cutting it to that medium length. I totally forgot about putting up a picture. I'll probably do it tomorrow or something.

How might an actor feel when their fictional character has a significantly longer Wikipedia page than their own? In particular I'm referring to Tony Soprano and James Gandolfini.

I would take it as people being probably way too into the series. To the point where they record everything being said by the character. Either that or the actor does a good job not publicly making an ass of themselves and aside from their work, is a normal person.
You know what I hate about horror movies? The police/FBI/whoever don't ever help. Like, in the real world, the feds get called in if there's like 1 or 2 murders and the cops can't catch the guy. I guess that's also why most horror movies take place in the middle of nowhere, with like, some kind of 2 man police station, with the cops being just as likely of dying. Anyway I think most horror movies are lame. Best Halloween flicks are Ghostbusters, Young Frankenstein, and Beetlejuice. |

In Night of the Living Dead they do show up at the end (or at least a large group of people dealing with the situation, official or not), though everyone dies anyway.

I guess the other problem I have with horror movies is that it's all about people dying instead of making funny jokes. Jokes are way better than gruesome deaths.

That's true too. 'course it wouldn't quite be a movie designed to evoke horror if the characters shrugged it off afterwards with jokes. But since they're not actually that SCARY the point can feel sorta lost...
Though there's also Shaun of the Dead where plenty of people die, but they do make jokes throughout. |

Yeah, I guess what I'm saying is I don't really like the scary stuff. Not like "I can't handle it" but more like "this just doesn't do it for me". I think the best movies are both hilarious and either thought-provoking or filled with crazy action.

Agreed. I think the primary enjoyment derived from zombie movies for me is the back and forth between the survivors more than anything. The other horror movies that've been on today plain haven't commanded much attention at all considering all they've been is is Mike Myers (or similar) walking around slowly, throwing a stab down occasionally, and the teenagers either attempting PG rated advances on each other, doing nothing, or cowering in fear in a corner.
Of course, then there's the ones that you add the funny in yourself because of the ridiculousness. |

Honestly, I'm surprised there's still profit to be made in making them as formulaic as they tend to be. I suppose movies are unique that way, you pretty much have to pay before you can get a real taste of it, and therefore movie goers are expecting something unique and leave disappointed. I guess.
