Actually they do. They sued them after the pilot so they had to change the characters.

The animation of the original Rick & Steve shorts were done using Lego blocks and figures, prompting a lawsuit from the company. Though the series no longer uses Lego blocks, it still draws comparison to both them and those by Playmobil.

Lego is particularly careful of protecting their brand. I remember reading on their site how people should never use the word Legos lest it be detrimental to the company.
