My throat is starting to get soar right now. It's been on and off tonight, but now it's kinda getting extreme. I'm hoping it may just be dry and not a cold because to be honest, I'm not in the mood to support a cold. Colds for me last for about 2 weeks. If it is a cold, I hope it passes over and doesn't last long.....

Ughhh. I've been feeling nauseous since just after dinner... My cold's pretty much gone (barely a sniffle) and I'm not coughing or anything, but my stomach just feels all bloated - and not in the "oh I've got really bad gas" type way either.

Yuck. And my ears keep popping. They got all screwed up during my cold because I was constantly blowing my nose, and now it always feels as though I'm not hearing things the way I should.

I think I'm going to go to bed or something. Blegh...

I got sick in Japan and I'm still sick now. xP

*cough hack wheeze*

Hopefully I'll get better soon, because it was a real downer being sick in another country and not wanting to do anything.

Both me and my best friend got sick when we first went to Japan D: I have asthma and it was aggravated by all the smoke in the air and it ended up turning into a horrible respiratory infection... my life was saved by my inhaler twice D:

As for my best friend she ate some weird food that was raw (they love raw eggs over there) and she got like dysentery status illness D: I felt so sorry for her :<

Yeah, for me it's just a regular head cold (probably mixed with some regional allergies, since my eyes were burning up and leaking like a running faucet earlier), it's mostly all better now except for this pesky cough.

Kind of disappointing though, I think my immune system failed me because I was so starved D: I was always hungry, but my sister was too nervous to eat and I wasn't allowed to go anywhere without her, so I went a couple days without eating and that's when I got sick and it sucked :< Hopefully I'm going again next year with someone else so we can have a food tour and finally eat all the things I wanted to try.

^That sucks... Hope you get to feeling better, Oscar. :)

I'm having the same problem.

I started coughing my head off in late July and it lasted until the middle of September. As of last week, my throat's been sore, my nose has been running, and I've been coughing... Bad allergies and asthma combined is not at all lovely...

I had an iron man streak where I didn't catch a cold for like two years (no jabs involved or anything) but I woke up with a bit of a blocked nose this morning, I think my immune system is finally caving in.

Well, it's not quite a sickness, but...

Red Tide.

I'm currently on vacation in South Padre and the Red Tide is really bad... It makes your eyes and throat burn like taco bell the second you walk outside, and ever since I've been exposed to it, I've had this dry hacking cough that won't stop even after having been inside for hours. I just hope I'm not allergic to it or something. :/ (And I swear, I've been "ill" more times in the past month than I have in the last four years! >:\)

Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor for "backdoor" problems.

When all else fails (even the big kahuna that has a Blink-182 album named after it) that's just what you have to resort to. >:/

Uggggh.

I know. Except, I'm probably one of the few who has a prescription for it. (Now anyway) Ah well. Better than the alternative. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Ahh, doesn't matter! It could be worse.

My aunt has H1N1 and she basically hasn't left her room in like a week. Her family members put her food outside of her bedroom door and leave. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) They're treating her like a dog!

Eh...well, I don't like playing the "sick" card, because I'm a perfectly healthy individual, at least in my own mind, but I just felt like I should tell people my health problems? I don't know...I hope I don't regret saying this. The illnesses of Chicken:

Born with mild cerebral palsy. Couldn't even sit up. Also, my ankles are connected to the heel. To top it off I have some scoliosis and a dog tore my leg open when I was....6, almost got that amputated, but I can walk and um...enjoy a pretty normal quality of life. I credit it to being genetically muscular. The only thing is I can't run very well, and I don't want it to hinder me from athletics, so I'm toning my legs and core muscles, because I'd love to play softball. I know I'd be a great pitcher, but even a pitcher has to run from base to base eventually.

I'm a very anxious person, so that sometimes contributes to me getting sick (colds and stuff.). Other than that, I take a claritin for my rhinititis, and that's not a big deal. Just get sinus infections which make my nose run.

Eh, anyway, don't be like, "Oh, poor Chicken." I will delete this post. I swear, my life is incredible, and I'm extremely blessed.

"Poor" never crossed my mind Chicken. I hesitate to agree with the word "blessed" merely because of its religious connotations, but it's definitely a good thing you're here with us and able to live life as you please. The fact that you don't take pity upon yourself like many others would just makes me respect you all that much more.

And, I've heard of cerebral palsy (though years of Japanese has me constantly mispronouncing it cerebral parsy) but what exactly is it?

It's really a very loose concept. When someone's cerebral cortex gets damaged (I was left in the womb a bit too long and knocked my noggin coming out), but anyway "palsy" is the word for paralysis. Cerebral palsy kids can walk just like you and me or they can be limp in a wheelchair. It really depends. That's why I say I'm blessed, because I can walk just fine albeit a bit of clumsiness (hehe, being a ditz is always a bonus). It basically means my motor skills are not perfectly developed as oppossed to yours. It's a strange disorder, because though the motor skills are effected, the brain is usually very intelligent. :P

Hope that clears it up for you. If not, go to WebMD or something, I don't know.
