That sounds bloody terrible, Idler. D: As a person with emetophobia, I hope I never get tonsilitis.

I don't think gargling with vinegar would help me with anything, seeing as how the smell of vinegar alone makes me gag. xP Eww.

As for now, though, I took a decongestant last night and now I'm home with side-affect stomachache. xP The side-affects are worse than the symptoms. I don't even know why I bother.

Ugh, forgot to add I also have a sleeping disorder. Which is very annoying and doesn't help with the fatigue I already feel with my other disease.

Ugh, but I hate complaining like this. -.-

I feel you, haha. If I listed everything I had, people would think I was a hypochondriac or something. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) It's not like I want to have illnesses.

I think I could write a book about all the stuff that's wrong with me. **laughs cynically**

Being ill is no fun. Thankfully, I haven't had a cold in months, which has got to be some sort of a record for me. I got carsick yesterday though. >< That wasn't fun.

But on the topic of illnesses-that-won't-go-away-no-matter-what-you-do, all of my problems stem from two things: weird hormone imbalances that struck me at puberty and a very serious ear/head injury I sustained at the hands of a pediatrician when I was five years old. I'm half deaf thanks to that. >< (And my parents sued that doctor for medical malpractice. Dad and Mom won the suit.)

My father had sleep apnea, but never got treated for it, and one of my brothers has it, too. He's on treatment for it now, but before he got treatment, his snoring was so frightening, and he never slept well. =/ I hope I never get that! (My brother is kind of, erm, obese, so as long as I stay thin, I might avoid it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Dad wasn't obese, but he was really tall and big, while I'm not.)

Well, normally, I wouldn't go around mentioning this, but I'm pretty mad for reasons beyond my control,so I'm just going to "vent" about my illness.

So, I've been trying really hard to get a perfect/near perfect attendence record this year, but yesterday, I got the worst migraine I've ever had in my life. I kept throwing up, like maybe 8 times total. Then, I still had a fever today so, I didn't argue too much when my mom asked if I was going to stay home. So, I did. If that wasn't bad enough, SOMEONE (will go unmentioned, because it's really not important who) decided to come in and drive me crazy over some stupid bullshit, and now I have another migraine, and I'm being dragged to the local Pumpkin fest (well, I want to go, just not sure how able I'm going to be) so ugh, I'm going to be wearing sunglasses at dusk and only wishing I could be eating all of those wonderful, deep-fried fair foods. Oh well, I'll buy some, pack it up, and have someone else hold it on the way home, so I don't like barf in the car.

And, anyway, it's not that big of a deal, I'm just kind of pissed right now. D:

Migraines are no fun. My brother used to have a friend who got serious ones but he somehow always kept up with his schoolwork, he was very smart.

Marie - I think I may have some kind of stupid hormone imbalance but I'm too afraid to ask the doctor about it haha... I just wish I didn't have so many things now that will just progress as I get older. I feel like no one would want to marry me... Unless they have good benefits to afford my presciptions haha. :P

Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot that can be done about hormonal problems. >< Sometimes people think it's just a minor nuisance, but hormonal problems can actually be dangerous. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which is characterized by extreme imbalances with female/male hormones - and can lead directly to type II diabetes and heart disease when untreated. It can also greatly increase your risk for certain types of cancer. Pretty much all they can do is treat the symptoms, and give you supplements to replace the hormones that your body lacks (which is precisely what they've done for me - except that I ran out of the prescription a month ago and haven't been able to refill it yet! >< ).

What kind of problems do you have that make you think you have a hormonal imbalance? I'm not an expert on the subject, but I have come to learn a lot about female problems over the years. XP (If it's too embarrassing to talk about publicly, feel free to PM me.)

That doesn't sound very good. How did you find out you had this problem?

But it's the same for me, my doctor has told me that I do have more testosterone {sp?} that regular which causes more acne/hair growth and other embarassing things. I went on birth control to try and help it, it helps with acne but not much else.
Another reason is too embarassing too admit and haven't ever told anyone lol. -.-

Really sounds like you might have PCOS, yeah. I have bad acne (or, rather, I had it as a teenager; it's scarred my face a little, though) and am very...hirsute too, lol.

I think I can guess what your other reason is... Ahem.

Well, I have major congestion and a possible cold for the first time in about four years. I rarely ever get sick, and generally have a darn good immune system. Of course, that 'darn good immune system' tends to go on vacation once a month, so I'm more prone to headaches and general fevers during that time than I like to be. Not colds though. Or congestion. >:| Which is why this is so darn strange.

Before I went and looked it up, I was worried about swine flu because my state has the one of the highest numbers of FATAL cases in the country and the city I live in just reported two or three deaths in HEALTHY children the other day. On top of that, my university has had multiple cases reported within the past few months. But, after looking at everything, the only symptoms I have are that of a cold - runny/stuffy nose, fever, crappy-feeling throat (not sore, though), and a bit of dizziness/fatigue. Hopefully it stays that way.

Despite feeling worse than I have in years, I went into class anyway because my Govt Professor is an inconsiderate woof woof who requires a doctor's note every time you're absent for health reasons. And seeing as I don't have ANY health insurance and a visit to the doctor regularly runs somewhere around $170+, that becomes impossible and I lose points on my final grade. darn her. darn her. darn her.

I should probably be taking some nyquil or something, but I'm terrible at remembering (or feeling up to) taking medication of any kind. That and I have this irrational fear of dying in my sleep if I take any form of sedative.

I know. I'm weird.

No your not weird there is nothing weird about what you said even though I didn't understand what half the words you said were. :P

I get really worried sometimes (I am right now but I don't know why) and sometimes it causes me to get sick. Such as feeling faint, going pale, having trouble breathing properly etc.
But my mum got me a concealer because it's getting pretty bad. *sits in corner hugging giant toy horse*

A lot of times I feel dizzy or lose control in my head, or my body feels weak because I lack something in my diet. That happens a lot, I probably need to drink more water and I'll start to recover.

And another minus is that I can easily feel sick of junk food. Two slices of chocolate mud cake: I'm sitting down feeling like I'm going to throw up. My stomach seems to hate a lot of junkfood. D: Oh well, less fat for me.

But when I get more sick sick I might get an occasional cold or cough that lasts for a week or two then feeling fine for ages! But every few months I manage to get something more serious like a flu, maybe laringidis (?). By then I'm sitting in bed and I'll more than likely miss a week of school. Good thing my immune system isn't horrible. :D

That's a counselor, Mizuko. Not a concealer. A concealer is something used to hide something, like zits or unwanted beauty marks. Silly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)

It's concealer misspelled. =/

'Concealor' isn't in the dictionary, anyway. My spell-check doesn't like it either. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

A concealer or colour corrector is a type of makeup used to mask pimples, dark circles and other small blemishes visible on the skin. Concealers usually do a good job of hiding blemishes by blending the imprefection into the surrounding skin tone. This product is mainly used by women, but use among men is increasing. I got that from the internet. :P

Isn't that basically what I said the first time . . . ?

"A concealer is something used to hide something, like zits or unwanted beauty marks."
