Hands down, this is the best thing that happened to me this summer. His name is Conan. We got him early in June at the delicate age of two months and weight of 13 pounds. Do not be deceived, he's no longer this cute and no where near this tiny, but I love him all the same. <3 He made an otherwise dull and uneventful summer absolutely fantastic. (IMG:http://i35.tinypic.com/20itcv7.jpg) ( Three months later: Surprise! He's got dane in him, no wonder he's already as big your five year old shepherd and eight year old neighbor! @_@ nojoke ) Now that summer is coming to an end, I was wondering what made it so great for everyone else? Did you do anything special, anything exciting happen? |

I... Um... Oh, yeah. My sister hated her college at orientation. So she stayed home this Summer, and she'll be staying home through college now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) And um... My sis introduced me to a lot of fun TV shows and anime I like. I finally understood the theory of relativity. And honeybaked ham is delicous. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) |

Uhh.
I found lots of Beatles songs I like and I ate stuff and I went to sleep/woke up at really weird times. Also my brother got a car and now he's driving all over the place. And I got a new computer. :D |

Nothing happened to me over the summer. ;-; Everything cool is happening in September, which is the weird month where nature dictates that it's summer, but the fact that I wake up when it's still dark and not when it's getting dark clearly shows it's fall.
So if it's technically summer, well... I got a metric crapton of awesome games: Exciting Animal March, The Beatles: Rock Band, Scribblenauts, and Pokémon: Soul Silver is on its way over to my doorstep. ._. Well it's a metric crapton by my standards; it's a good year if I get four games that I actually really like. 'M not much of a gamer, you see. And I got a driver's license (actually, I got that in the real summer) and fourteen discs of remastered Beatles glory; for the past two weeks I've been finding excuses to drive places so I can blast them from my (parents') car... even if that's technically illegal. At least I'm not on my cellphone. >> Still, none of that beats the fact that last week, my brother moved out. I mean, he went to college last year, but he came back during the summer and announced that he was dropping out of college, which made summer SUCK WITH A CAPITAL SUCK, but now he's actually moving out. And lemme tell you, being an only child rocks. At least, if you don't mind making noise, more time with the house to yourself, and not having to share. Which I don't. :D |

Best part of the summer was at the Library. That's right, at a Library. But taking into account it was with all of my friends and we didn't really get the work done we wanted to, it was a blast. In the end we went to I think Taco Bell or something.

I got a new computer in August. And I tried out some new games, but my summer was really boring. =/
And one of my cats died . . . so I can't say I had a really good summer this year. Edit: Oh wait! I joined the RS forums this summer. That's good. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) |

Didn't do anything besides work and be tired all of the time. So my summer sucked.

... D: A lot of you have really depressing summers. I hope the rest of the year is better.
Suddenly I'm feeling very glad this topic wasn't titled the worst of summer '09. I think we'd all come out of it wearing black nail polish and writing in composition notebooks. |

This was probably one of the best summers I've had thus far. I watched the movie "Yes Man" just before it started and it was definitely one of the best things I could have done.
The biggest highlight of this summer was my concert. I went to my first concert (I know, 22 years old and had never been to a concert whaaat?) and it was the most incredible experiences of my life. I saw 311, Ziggy Marley and The Expendables, live and in living color. It was something I'll never forget for my years to come. Got some sweet shirts too. |

Finally bought tickets for a flight to Tokyo, after waiting 10 years :P I'm going next week and still don't believe it's happening.
Uhhhhhh.... let's see. I played lots of video games.... and uhhh... got a really awesome jacket... and a bunny sweater... and a pair of Doc Martens for really really cheap... OH!! and I had cheesecake and honey walnut shrimp for my birthday. And a week later, a chocolate cream pie. And then I had honey walnut shrimp again. A few weeks ago I had a whole pound of sole to myself (geez with all the stuff I eat I should be a whale). My summer wasn't all that action-packed; most of the highlights were shopping and eating food, but it wasn't bad. There isn't much else to do during the summer; it's always way too hot to go outside, or do anything that requires movement until 5PM >_>; And I actually went to the beach this year (once), not counting the time I loitered around Fletcher Cove Park... |

Peter: Concerts are amazingly fun. I remember my first very fondly. I was totally deaf afterwards, but it was a hopping good time.
The most amazing part of my summer was a new litter of kittens. It's been quite a journey watching them grow up, now almost too big for my room. I'll be a bit sad to see them go, actually. On another happy note, I finally got up the courage to go all the way upstate to get better medication for myself, and it's really making me feel better and more optimistic. Not to mention I got a great report on my health. Oh, and I came back to RS which I am very happy about. Overall, it's been a very productive summer for me. |

I got...*looks down guiltily* addicted to RanchStory...;D I became so many people's fangirl, it's not even funny. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Okay, yeah it is. I made lots of new friends on here. Oh! And I discovered a show that can make me laugh hysterically no matter how many times I've watched the episode. :D Very productive in my opinion. ;D
