Hooowdy~ The trail leading away from Kaval Ranch is the race track, I am also pretty sure it is the only way to get in or out of the town (Exept using the sea) and it is most likely where you enter in from at the start of the game. The one near the Farm is the one going to the Yellow bell stand, so you unlock it after you grow and give 10 Good+ Crops.
Juli's house is also there... The one with the Purple roof, not the blue.

Easiest way top find Julius' house? As soon as you cross the bridge hang a right, and go straight. There will be a waterwheel to your right and a path leading down to the water. If you go down that path there's a house down there, but it's empty (you can buy it as a vacation home). Julius' house is the one on the hill above it. Hope that helps (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monster.png)

Ah, another couple of questions from me . . . I used to know the answers but now I can't remember. -_-

What's the character limit for names? Is it eight?

What gender child do the spouses prefer? They want what their rival child would be, and then the opposite gender, right? Is that always the case? What about the God/Goddess and Wizard/Witch?

Just wondering~

Ah, I don't remember most of that, either. But the wizard prefers a girl.

Yeah I remember reading somewhere that the bachelors/bachelorettes prefer whatever gender their rival child would have been(Example: Julius and Candace have Angie, so he would prefer a girl) but I also think the witch prefers girls though.

Witch and Wizard want girls, God and Goddess want boys.

OH, SO, in light of the latest pushback, my ever-growing cynicism, and the money I got recently from working around the house and getting good grades, I ordered myself a Wiikey and a copy of this game. Yay~!
They're scheduled to get here tomorrow; yay, FedEx.

I'M SO EXCITEDDDD! :D And if I have any questions, I will direct them here.

And the second child? Does your spouse always want the opposite gender of the first time or do some of them want the same gender twice? That's what I'm really wondering about.

Is it a MOD? I know my Freeloader works because I haven't updated my Wii in a year, but I'm afraid to MOD my Wii. I'm not all that good at soldering and I would probably break it. I couldn't afford to replace my Wii right now, plus all my saved games are on there... I would cry. Really hard.

I think they always want the opposite gender of the first child, but I'm just putting my foot down and telling my spouse I want a younger daughter anyway.

Yeah, it's a modchip.
I'm actually pretty good at soldering; I've had a lot of practice making silly little kits I bought at Maker Faire (a gathering put on by Make Magazine that's basically a festival of DIY projects, including make-your-own electronics kits. Soldering is fun!). I also live with an electronics geek that can help me. I'm not too worried about bricking the Wii. Though it is technically still under warranty because of a loophole, but it runs out soon...
I would've got a freeloader, but my firmware is well past 3.3.

I've also been using the Freeloader and haven't updated my Wii in ages too. But sadly, new games also have their own updates in them which will eradicate the Freeloader.

But the wonderful (or perhaps crazy?) minds of some have overcome this by creating the 'Twilight Princess Hack'. Have no idea what I'm talking about? This is what I mean:

"The Twilight Hack is the original safe, public way to enable the homebrew channel on a Wii without hardware modification. The Twilight Hack is achieved by playing a hacked game save for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess which executes a homebrew application from an external SD card." (Taken from WiiBrew - see website below)

This will now allow you to play games from other regions :) This is what I'm going to use, and once I've done it I'll let you know how it goes. Like all hacks, there is always the chance that something might go wrong, but this one has a very small chance for problems, so I'm going for it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

For more info go to:

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Twilight_Hack

Or:

(To Admin: If this kind of stuff is frowned upon in this forum, I will be more than happy to edit my post, or you can delete it. Either one :)

I heard about the Twilight Princess Hack at the same time I learned about freeloaders: much too late.

I really hope Nintendo doesn't region-lock their next console. :/ I don't even see the point; they just make people do one of two things: spend money on a third-party way to circumvent it, then buy imports, or just lament their inability to play foreign games, which presumably makes the company lose money. And the vast majority of people take the latter route.
I've been on that rant before, though. x_o And thus I feel no guilt in modding the Wii.

All you have to do is put the freeloader disc in twice in a row. It disables the region code the first time, the automatic update the second time. I play EAM just fine, I just can't do the Wii Live thing.

Whooooo! My Wiikey is installed (and working! Whew! I was dreadfully afraid I'd made a mistake in soldering, though it wasn't very complicated at all.), and I've started up EAM!
The opening sequence is purdy~. I'm so excited to get further!

I thought the candidates asked for whatever gender their rival child would have been if
you didn't marry them. And then The God wants a son, and I think the Wizard wants a girl?

EDIT: Oh. My gosh. Marley, your set is wonderful!~
That is one of my absolute favorite songs!

:D Thank you! Mad props to showchoirgirl, who made the sig so big you can only see half the credit at the bottom... she insisted it was okay. o_o
It's one of my favorite songs, too. <3

Again: God and Goddess want boys, Witch and Wizard want girls, everyone else wants the gender of their rival child.
But since you can choose the gender to no ill effect, I don't really see the point in letting them pick.
I, for one, really want to see the Goddess's older daughter. x_o But I'm too lazy to bother to marry her, though, and I also don't want to bother with living married to her. Doesn't even live with you... D:
But I bet she's soooo cuuute.

Graaaah. Can't find gold ore for the red bell! Stupid crappy mine.

Which mine are you looking in? Try the water mine. There's lots of gold in there, somewhere. Just talk to the fisherman dude, then to Paolo in the lighthouse and he should give you a key to it. I think you might have to talk to the Goddess first, though, so if it doesn't work the first time try that.

But I couldn't do that until after I rang the red bell (Actually I think it's after I ring the yellow bell, which I'm still in the process of doing). Had to find it in Garmoni Lower, on the first ten floors.

Now I've just got to wait for the blasted lettuce to come in and I can ring the yellow bell~! Yay.

No actually, you can do multiple bells at the same time. I had the first four going at the exact same time and finished them almost as quickly. Just talk to Paolo and you start the blue bell, get to the forest and go see the witch and you start the green bell. Go to the beach in Clarinet and find the yellow bell in the sand and you can start the yellow bell. The only one I couldn't get to trigger right away was the purple bell, but you can start working at getting ten people to 3 hearts at the beginning so you're ready when the purple bell quest begins. I mean, if you're rushing it. But yeah, you can do multiple bells at the same time.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Well, I've already seen my pink froggy bride. <3 And all she says is "Gecko," which is adorable.

Hmm. I tried talking to Paolo before ringing the red bell, and he just said hello... or he wasn't in the lighthouse at all, I forget. I couldn't (or didn't, I guess) get the bit with the Goddess to trigger the aqueduct key scene until after I rang the Red bell, so I couldn't get into the Water Cave to get gold for it.
Either way, I've got my lettuce now, and I've charged the bell, now all I've got to do is give the lettuce to Ruth and go ring the bell.
And buy a duck. x_o Why didn't I buy one earlier? Now I've got to wait a week.
