Questions & tips, I'm a new RF player Options

I just bought the game few days ago, and I still wasn't sure how the game works. I hope someone could help me by answering these questions and would be better if you could give me some tips

1. Why when I gave someone's present during their birthday they never say thank you or mention anything about birthday? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif)
2. I've done all the quests on the board, and there's no new quest posted there, so what should I do?
3. How do I get through the statues in those areas (do you call them mine?)

I would also appreciate any help in this section, considering I might go and pick up RF very soon. :3

1. That is a good question Rui... it might just be secretive increases in friendship points or there is no bonus points on bdays. :(

2. Do the dungeon or befriend new people I would guess. That's normally how those games are.

1. You have to give them their special present for them to notice.
2. Everytime someone's LP/FP goes up there should be a new request from them.
3. When you get to the second generation, you can complete quests to open them.

(I know this is out of topic, but I love your set..may I know which series is the guy come from?)

Urm, more questions if you dont mind..
- Is there any calendar on the game where we can refer? ( somehow I cant find them)
- Whats the difference between sleeping in one bed with the double bed?
- Which plant(of each season) is the most profitable? I've monetary problems.. the pricing in this game is so expensive and I need money to build the barn.

1. There should be a calender on the second floor, look around the stairs.

2. No difference, but your wife will sleep with you in the double bed when you get married.

3. Pink Melons are the way to go for the spring, I like Tomatoes in the Summer, and I usually fish and mine for my main source of income in the Fall. You can also go to the four caves to grow any season at any time.
