If you purchased the Internet Channel for the Wii, you get a free NES game starting October! That's right, for free!
Because since the Internet Channel is now free, the people who bought it get a free NES game to make things fair. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) |

I wonder what I'm going to get. But meh, I'll probably let my brother get something because it'd take me a year to make up my mind. D:

Yeah I got the letter for a NES game, not points. But whatever, I'm sure I can find an awesome NES game I don't have.

Yeah, NES is 500, SNES is 800, and 64 is like 1,000. If I'm remembering right.

There are only a very small amount of NES games that cost more than 500 points. I think just some licensed deals is all. If you actually get points, I suggest Phantasy Star for the Master System, however for other NES games that are tops, there's Castlevania, Punch-Out!!, Bubble Bobble, and River City Ransom.

^Yep! Except the Japan only released ones are 600. I just looked at them and none really appeal to me...maybe I'll get Zelda.

Yeah, NES games were 500 points, so they compensate for what you paid for the IC. I got my IC for free, but it doesn't really matter. I own every NES game that I could possibly want. I'm such an addict. I do believe it's a credit for a 500 point NES game, not 500 points on your account. I could be mistaken though.

Wait, so if you haven't paid you get a free NES game? Or do you have to pay for it?

Miitan: It's for those who paid for the internet channel. When the Wii first launched the channel, they ran a promotion that you could download the internet channel for free. After awhile, they added a 500 point pricetag on it, for whatever reason. I guess they decided that this was foolish, so they are now making the internet channel free again, and so they don't irritate anyone who already paid, giving them a free credit for an NES game of their choice (since they are of equivilent value).

I'm pretty sure the internet Channel cost more than an NES game anyhow. So I'm cool with having it for free.
Edit: Never mind, it costs the same, but still. |
