Oscar: Being the CEO of Square-Enix. :)
Chicken: A good book, probably Bram Stoker's Dracula. It was a really good book, and one of my favorites. Lindy: Male - Vaan, He and I were so much alike it's sickening, when I see him do anything, I laugh, because he sounds like me. Female - There were a lot, but in the end I chose Rikku. She was sdorable. Always. |

To his, his own, Darthy. I don't knock anyone for liking/disliking things that I don't/do, respectively. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. What I do not like is the people who blindly say that Final Fantasy VII is the best FF game EVER. This is a false statement, for if it were true, the franchise would have died out with the launches of VIII, let alone IX and the rest. I don't mind you saying it's your favorite FF game (you as in, the person claiming it's an amazing game), I don't mind if you say it was the best of it's time, but to say it still holds precedence over the newer games, or even the older games, is total crap. Of course, this is my opinion, and many might disagree with this.
I don't believe in blind faith though. Not to mention, those who say FFVII was the best game ever can't even back up their opinion with any facts that are worth listening to. Some say it's the graphics. They clearly haven't seen FFXII. Some say it's the story. EVERY FF game has a great story. My point being, I don't agree with people who listen to other people, instead of voicing their own opinion. I suppose this relates to Vaan. I'm willing to believe 90% or better of the individuals who dislike Vaan is due to the fact that they were tainted by what people said, and had a bias that the character was annoying or whatever else they said about Vaan. Anyone who has played XII like I have can tell you otherwise. Vaan's character development is admirable, his drive is breathtaking, and the relationships he carries with everyone, including Penelo is truly unbelievable. He is the most 'human' main character Square has put out to date, and that says a lot. Okay, I'm sorry, I'm off my soapbox now. |

Wow, impressive. Most folks would say their laptop, iPhone, or some electronic device. Haha, Dracula? Lol. I've never even THOUGHT about reading that.
Next question: What book besides der Dracular do you like? Of course, 1 or 2 examples would suffice. |

I thought Vaan was lame cuz his voice actor was crap (especially when compared to the other main characters), and he had a sort of a "Call me Ishmael" role where even Penelo had more relevance to the plot than he did (if only to carry around nethicite and get kidnapped). I suppose it was decided that he was the main character as to not reveal too much about the others too early. I've actually heard the original concept called for Bache to be the lead, but they changed it to keep the teen hero thing going. I should state that I didn't hate him, but I didn't think he was an impressive character. I also didn't care much for Ashe, either (too much moping and stuff), so their scenes together were rather unmemorable.
Next question: Favorite Castlevania character (not limited to Belmonts and Drac Jr.)? |
