(Nurse Fin's) Exciting Animal March: A First Look, Observations about the game Options

Yeah, the Witch is pretty short-tempered and capricious. She seemed to be really good friends with the Wizard, they even traveled together for a long time before deciding to live in Castanet, but when he took so long changing her back into her human self (when she turned herself into a frog), she decides that she hates him and doesn't want anything to do with him anymore. :P

And yeah, the Witch was trying to help out the Goddess Tree, but she cast the wrong spell. She's not like the Witch Princess in HMDS/IoH; she seems to like the Goddess. She's afraid of the Harvest God though.

Wow, thanks! I asked over at Ushi too, and people kept giving one sentence or even just the word 'Tsundere' or whatever. It was annoying because it was very uninformative. >_>

At least you know some Japanese, I can't read it all. I'm lucky if I can catch a few spoken phrases here and there. -_- But at least I know the honorifics! (mostly . . .)

I can read the kana and at this point I know about 100 or so kanji (without looking them up, at least), but I don't know many words without the kanji. >< I'm learning, though... just not nearly as quickly now because I'm back in school again. ><

I thought that might be her issue.

I really like the witch character, I just haven't played as a boy yet. I never really found myself fond of any of the Bachelorettes, but I kind of like the witch. I might marry her if I ever get around to playing a boy file.
I think the English version will be out by then...

Does anyone know if the Chole Marrige Scene actually works for the boy like it does for the girl and Thyme? I have her at 5 hearts, but as the year progesses, it feels harder to find Pink Shell Gifts? If it does work or no-one knows then I'll give it a shot and try harder to find gifts, otherwise I just won't try hard if the scene deffinatly doesn't work.

Are there supposed to be cutscenes for when the rival kids grow up? Because I have 4 of them so far, and it's being weird. I go into their house and the baby is in the crib. Then I leave the house, and the kid (Vivian or Angie for example) is in my friends list. Then I go back into the house and the child is there, fully grown, talking to me like they know me. It's done this with all four kids so far, and I'm highly confused.

^ Yah, You should get a letter in the post from the parents. They usually the the Name of the child or something refering to them in the title. Then go to the Photo shop and they appear there, and the parents introduce you. On the morning they grow up, they will be on your friends list even if you don't go to the shop on that day, I think you can still get the Intro Event, But they will be grown up anyway. I bet you just haven't been Offically introduced.

And the Thyme marrage scene is something I saw on Nico Nico Douga, I'm sure someone posted it somewhere. Its a wierd little scene between the main girl and Thyme. If you raise Thyme to a high heart level, he has a crush on you. Then when you show him your blue feather he thinks your proposing, but talks himself out of taking the blue feather. And I questioned wether there was a Chloe X Main Boy Version.

Oh raff, whoops. I was commenting on something Oscar said, and I got confused. Sorry. Yeah, Blah I meant. Which one is Thyme again? And proposing to Chloe would be... more disturbing than proposing to ToT version of Luna.

Yes, just like Thyme for girl,
you can propose and got rejected by Chloe if you're playing as boy

Because she likes other person already, while for Thyme, he still wants to do a lot of things before he gets married

Chloe loves sunflower, so if you're still in summer and out of Pink Shell, it's not a bad alternative

Anyway, what do people talk about in this game? What's their dialogue? Is it the same as ToT?

I know in ToT the lines are:
11 Heart lines (0-10)
9 Weather lines
4 lines regarding your health (though one of them is technically for days after you collapse)
2 lines for each season
3 'personal' or random lines (which are really hard to get)
Festival lines (not sure how many . . . -_-)
Various story-related lines

5 normal lines
5 heart lines
5 friendship lines (if you are same gender/marry someone else)
14 lines about your family
29 festival lines
7 weather lines (I think)
8 seasonal lines
3 lines about pets

After marriage
10 heart lines
7 marriage/family-related lines
12 lines about your kids
8 seasonal lines
2 (or more) extra weather lines

And then there are some other ones if the person marries the rival, and story-related lines.

@SummerSkin: If I am correct the first five hearts are just normal, getting to know you lines. Then if you're playing the opposite gender, they talk about how they are starting to like you - but if you play the same gender or you are already married the lines are more friendshippy.

At least they have a difference. Did you notice in ToT that if you keep raising heart levels of the rivals after they are married, they seem oblivious to the fact? What I mean is, say Renee marries Toby at 4 hearts. If you keep raising her to 10 hearts, she'll start saying things like, "There's this person I really like." and "I always wanted to get married some day." Whattherefrigerator?
