Mobile Forums Options

It turns out a handful of our members access these forums on their mobile phones...likely because they are at school or don't have access to a computer. A big drawback to the RS forum experience on mobile phones is the excessive graphics of the signature images and the ads at the top. But fear no more!-- you can use the Lo-Fi version of these forums, located here: http://www.ranchstory.co.uk/forums/lofiversion/index.php (Link located at the bottom of every page) I added the ability to post THROUGH the lo-fi version, so no matter where you are, you can read AND post.

However, with this newfound ability to connect better to RS, just don't get in trouble with your bosses or teachers. D;

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any way to login on these lo-fi forums. A bit of a nitpick, but it would defeat the purpose if you need to go the regular forums to login.

I'm sure the main page doesn't really upset the phones, so it shouldn't be a too much of a problem to login on the regular forums and then switch to lo-fi. Hopefully your phone will remember cookies so you'll only have to do it once in a blue moon. ;D

No, log in isn't an issue. It takes longer than one of these pages, sure, but it's also not trying to load 20 avatars and signatures, along with a background, sprites, etc. I see no issue logging in the main page and then switching.

I can't access RS on my cell phone, it doesn't let me log in. Like there is no space for me to type in my username and password.

The mobile version is essentially just text though it has some graphics too in posts.

You can't log into the mobile forum though. You'll have to log in through the normal forum then switch to the mobile version.

I have to say I was getting some use of the mobile forums today though :] I didn't read many posts though. I don't like how I have to manually look for new topics D;

Beggers can't be choosers Saffy. It's mainly used for topics you're trying to actively keep up with. That's all. Not so much a replacement. If you're bored, browse them all, if you're in a rush, go to the ones you're expecting replies on.
